DFW 10U tournaments

Tip of the cap to the crew at Mesquite this past weekend.
They did a wonderful job keeping all fields clean and running smoothly.

Coaches appreciate freshly chalked fields prior to games along with plenty of water and clean garbage cans in the dugouts.

Additionally, concession stands ran smoothly with the ability to handle both afternoon warm weather and late night cold weather customers.

Kudos and keep up the good effort.

Last but not least, congratulations are in order for Rough Riders for winning the tournament, Ft. Worth Batbusters 99 Franco for second and Crush/Glory Adkins for third.

Great job to everyone associated with running the mesquite tournament.

Congratulations to Rough Riders. They are a great team and very well coached. Only thing they are missing is possibly another pitcher or catcher. Cannot have too many pitchers or catchers in the middle of the summer. They can definately compete with the elite teams and boy can they hit from top to bottom. I like this group because they know the fundamentals.

Batbuster team is solid from top to bottom. They are a small ball team that relies on pitching and defense. They would not be able to generate runs against some of the better teams. But still a good bunch of girls who compete. Congratulations on 2nd place. Very well deserved.

Glory/Crush team a good team who is probably on the same playing field as D-bat. They had over a 2 hour battle and who unfortunatley had to play a well rested Rough Rider team right after that. They have 3-4 solid hitters and a couple above average pitchers. They can compete with the top teams if they had a couple more hitters and 1 ace pitcher. Just missing a couple.

No thanks to the D-bat team for putting the tournament back 2-3 hours. D-bat has got 2 above average pitchers but after playing two back to back extra inning games that lasted 2 hours it is hard to stay competitive. They are missing a couple of sticks. It looks like they may only have a couple of girls who can hit on a consistant basis. Small ball will only get you so far against a well coached team. Defense is sometimes suspect with this bunch.

Better! A comma should follow "J-Hole" and I believe the first sentence may be judged a fragment by some. Second sentence seems to be proper, although the three lol's could be considered excessive.
