You "guys" are fun.

Mark, to be honest, you are getting better. Tough not to respond to Joe. He is good at his craft.

Underdog, to fit better in with the Texas forum crowd, you're right, I should have gone with "Christine" and maybe used an avatar of a vagina to throw you all off.

Doittoit, you are getting so close, it's like Scooby Doo is on the trail! LMAO.

Yall take care, but I still stand by my observation that more than not, dumba$$ parents can screw up a good thing.

Can we be nice to each other please?
Please excuse our dust, The Storm Elite 14u is in the building stage. Your patience is much appreciated. Gathering all the players who are the right fit for any new team can be messy.
It is important to all involved that each player is a right fit for the team, and the team is a right fit for the player. We wish all present and former players the best.

By the way, while we are being nice to one another, maybe we can build a better softball community?
 Better communities=better kids.

 If for any reason I, or our team, is on your softball enemies list, please forgive me (us) and remove me (us) from that list. We will do the same.

I first want to Thank all of the Teams and Parents that came to this years 10th Annual Bomber Shootout! The wind , rain , cold temperatures and City Municipalities presenting challenges along the way by removing fields because of weather. I also want to thank all of the Bomber voulenteers who worked so hard all weekend to help get the tournament in! When you have so many teams attend and in a lot of cases travel very far to do so , we feel like it is our duty to do everything possible to give them as many games as possible. We hope that we did that , and also hope that we can accommodate all that did not achieve that. We very much apologize for any inconveinence that having to change schedules and formats to accommodate the weather delays etc. caused. We will be refunding a prorated amount of the entry fee based on the number of games played.

Here are the Results of this weekends event:

8U Division
1st - Southbelt Stingers
2nd - Austin's Finest 01
3rd - Lil Crushers
4th - Texas Bombers 01

10U Division
1st - TPS 99
2nd - American Liberty Kruzers
3rd - Xtreme Heat
3rd - Threatt 99

12U Division
1st - Katy Cruisers
2nd - Cen-Tex Buzz
3rd - Texas Hawks
4th - Ft. Worth Batbusters

14U Division
1st - Pearland Phantomz
2nd - Texas Fusion
3rd - Texas Storm Elite
3rd - Freeze 14U

I saw very well coached teams , with exceptional young ladies battling it out in less than perfect conditions! It says so much about their character and the awesome coaches dedicating their time to help shape the lives of these young athletes. I rarely allow myself to get caught up on here arguing back in forth with individuals that hide behind computer names! I know by making this statement that I will open myself up as a target for alot of what I am speaking out about! But to bash teams made up of young girls just trying to play the game they love , makes no sense to me? More often than not it tends to be parents who find this to be some form of amusement getting into "virtual" arguments and saying things that they know they can never be held accountable for because of the flack jacket of the computer screen. You have people bashing just about everything they can on this board.....our sport needs more people working together to create a better product and to help provide more opportunities for all players! There is not a thing wrong with being competitive (There may not be anyone more competitive than me) but to get on here and bash people for pure amusement is really just something I cant understand.

Again , I want to sincerely thank all the Teams that participated this year! Your participation is helping us donate approx. $12,700 dollars to the American Cancer Society and the Comal County Relay for Life next month. Good luck to you all the rest of this coming season......

amen! I could not have said it any better than that. keep up the good work in giving every team in texas a place to come enjoy a wonderful weekend of softball. you cannot help mother nature but you guys did a great job considering the weather. also to give back to charity is a great thing. who else can actually say they do the same thing when hosting a toury. so we all need to sit back and realize what was done this weekend. one day your own daughter might need help with ACS then you will be thanking people like the bomber coach instead of bashing his tournament....

And some of us are just plain stupid. What are you drinking frito?

I think the Bomber was a huge success. I really liked the way that they tried to accomodate everybody after the rain came through Saturday morning. Why did Oklahoma Nemesis drop and who else dropped??

That would be MaryAnn Summers sir, but it could be hairy, your right.

3monkeys wrote:On the flipside, you will find teams that are full of these dumba$$ parents who will find success early on and will slobber over a big shiny trophy, but when the trophies stop coming, and Sally isn't getting enough innings, then the ship starts sinking again, and next thing you know, the musical chair game begins all over again.

Big shiny trophies must mean something to you since you are using it as an example. I think it is more about how the girls play together and to see them all working together is better than any type of big shiny thing. No slobbering coaches or parents or sinking ships. Maybe that is the case with your team, whoever that may be?? ;) ;)

3monkeys wrote:That's just my philosopy on the industry...So I ask you then...How many dumba$$ parents must get dissed, before somebody says don't fu*k with Chris?

How many have been dissed on your team and who the fu*k is Chris?? I just want to know so I don't diss or make him mad.

I rarely comment on HB either...but like you, I...I just can't help hold back. Your B-52 tournament is well known throughout Texas as one of the season's first. You're offering up a product, a service if you will... and when dealing with customers (teams)... there will always be complainers. It didn't matter if the weather was 72 degrees, sunny and no wind...someone out there would find something to complain about. Being responsive to factors that you can control is commendable.

The fact is...you have nothing to explain or apologize for....and you shouldn't be discouraged by any negativity on here or any other bulletin board. Your customers (teams) will vote with their dollars. And for the last ten years, they've voted overwhelming in your favor. The weather this year didn't cooperate, but some how you managed to get most of the games in, provided a good service to many, did some fundraising, and antied up some coin for a charity.

Sounds like a great start to me...

I thought the tournament went really well, considering the large amount of teams and the weather problems. I am always amazed that the girls play as well as they do when the weather is so cold and windy. That is not an easy thing to do.

I think the fields in Seguin are very nice, and I like the way they are set up. Although, I wish someone from that facility would put up chain link or netting along the 3rd and 1st base lines. The wooden fence that surrounds the field is really nice, but it's only about 4' high along the sides. We had a batter hit a hot line drive just past the 3rd base dugout, and just above the wooden fence at about 5' high. It was a miracle no one took a head shot on that one.
