I was at DD's game in College Station this weekend and I saw the Kansas University Jayhawks pitcher get smashed in the face Saturday by a TX A&M batter. She was ok (as OK as you can be) but had a severe contusion above her Eyebrow. Really swollen and the sound of that ball hitting her head was one I hope to never hear again! Sounded like someone slapping a face!
So far this year I have not seen any college players wear them and some of those balls are screeeeeeeeeaming! If my DD was playing infield I would ask her too wear a mask, but she is a grown woman now, so?????

And you are just plain stupid!! You can call my dd a sissy all you want, but she will wear the mask when she is pitching or playing F5 and F3. That was her choice 4 years ago and I am glad because she did get hit her first year of 12U. Sissy or not, it may have saved her life..
