Does your high school coach fall into the following categories:
1. Can't bring in a run with runners on 1 and 2 and no out.
2. Does not teach outfielders when to dive or block? Or how to take a proper angle on a ball.
3. Continues to throw changeups to the bottom of the order?
4. Sending slow runners to push stealing bases or not stealing a base with a fast runner when the catcher cant throw to 2nd.
5. Doesnt use small ball with 3rd base playing behind the bag.
6. Not moving players up in the batting order who on are a hot streak

Does this describe why high school coaches with decent talent lose.

All of the above plus add a #7...calls an "out" pitch (must be clearly in other batter's box) with a fast runner on third and a backstop that is very far back. Then yells at pitcher/catcher when the runner scores.

Anyone know of any 18u (or very good 16u) round robins, friendly's or tourneys (Houston area) in the month of May? We won't have everyone back from playoffs most likely but our first qualifier is May 29th so we will need to get some games in before then!

We are in the same position -we sure could use some 18u tournaments or friendlies. PM me if you know of any good ones from now through mid May -Houston or Dallas. Thanks

LBA will once again host a 16U tournament at Lakepark in Lewisville the weekend of May 28, 29,30. Last year we had over 30 teams from all over TX and OK. Details will be posted soon.

We are not a tournament factory like other parks so we work really hard to provide a good experience for the teams at our tournaments in Lewisville. Much more of a personal touch and customer service approach. Our entire LBA Board team works the tournaments. We fire up the grills, cook up some quality food and keep our concession costs very low compared to most places we play every weekend. We really enjoy having the teams, girls and families at our park. Many camp and go to the lake during their down time. Some of the dads bring their clubs and get a quick 9 or 18 holes in at the golf course across the street. Some hit one of the water parks within a mile of the fields. Its a lot of fun and we really enjoy hosting the 16U teams each year.

Well! Thanks to our HS coach, looks like my DD is done after this season is finished! She's not returning next year because of this "coach"...This "coach" mentally drained this VERY TALENTED team and held them back from playing ball like they know how to. Instead this "coach" made threats, bullied the team, & DID NOT CARE!
