That's Funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I here thay are not going to play ASA.
And going to play USFA Nat. in P.C.

I think three monkeys was being sarcastic because he is with the Storm organization. All I was doing is making a team play by the rules that are set forth in the 2010 ASA rule book. As far as the illegal player, I was talking about the girl that they left off of the lineup but she played defense the first inning. According to the rule book, that is an illegal player and there are repercussions for using illegal players, but I purposely didn't bring those up.

Go ahead and chust thump coaches, it is not going to effect me or my team in any way. The 97 Storm Elite girls should be very happy and the pick up player too. Ya'll played a great game and we did not. Besides, "We wanted to get to the Bomber's anyway"!!

FYI - I have never picked a girl up from another team that has been knocked out of the tournament that we were playing in, nor do I think it should be allowed for a bracket game. But then again, it was the Storm team and the Storm organization was putting on the tournament??

Funny thing, earlier in the day I took up for the 97 Storm and convinced the TD to seed them first after explaining that after the head to head tie breaker, it goes to runs allowed and even though the Bomber's had beaten the Storm, the Storm allowed less runs.

And last but not least, we are planning on going the USFA route this year for lots of different reasons. Just in case anybody cares. Our tournament on the weekend of May 21st is going to an ASA tournament, but I willnot allow pick up players for bracket play, even though I will not ask for rosters to be turned in either and we will enforce ASA rules to the fullest. If that makes me a bad person, then I'm sorry.

The weather was beautiful and should still be throughout the week.

Mark

Guess you didn't see Storm Elite play the Bombers in this pool game. Lost 2-0. Interesting part was they picked up a RH player to play SS for them in the game and bat in the 2 hole. Did that have any effect on the runs allowed in that game? All this while they had a player sitting the bench that could have played. Never thought that I would see a player from a team that is playing in the tourney pick up for another team that didn't NEED a pick up.

Here are the teams that will go 5-0-0 in pool.

Pool A - Phantomz (Sting will be the only interesting game)
Pool B - Bombers (This pool is a waste of their time)
Pool C - Houston Power (Maybe HV will give them a game. Maybe)
Pool D - Sudden Impact (This pool is a waste of time)

I sure hope, for your sake, you don't gamble...

Mark,

At least you admitted that you deserve the shots at you...none of this stuff would have been posted, especially my postings since I haven't posted on here in over a year, if you hadn't mouthed off last week and even Sunday morning. You brought this all on yourself.

This storyline keeps getting more interesting with every post . Normally if you were that shorthanded you would ask someone to pickup for the weekend who was not on a team in that tournament . I think we have all also seen girls picked up from teams in the same tourney when it is a pool game with no meaning . Fundraiser or not , it seems very unusual that a team would be allowed to go through a tournament handpicking different girls from other teams as they go playing shortstop no less . They then advanced to the single elimination bracket over the Rattlers due to less "runs allowed". Then when the rules are used to point out the unfairness everyone trashes the coach who insisted they be enforced and the coach who was breaking the rules jumps on HB and tells everyone what a class act he is while he taunts the losing coach . This stuff would be hard to make up.

Confused....what was the situation with pickups? Sounds like we are only getting bits and pieces of what the whole story is....

Sorry I missed this one sounds like it made for lots of drama....

Thanks MotherGoose, but please remind me and everyone else on here about how I mouthed off last week and again on Sunday morning. It's OK, I can take it.

I am glad to see that there is some really good talent in 12U and every team has their day and every team makes mistakes. Ours was just very costly in giving up the three runs on an under throw to first base. I take a lot of that blame because it was my dd that walked the first two batter's. Losing is part of the process and hopefully, like I told my team after that game, it will make us better down the road. It is way too early to worry about it right now.

The jabs from people that I personally know are fun too as it shows what type of people they really are. They want to say hello and shake hands and be all freindly to your face but then they turn around and call me an A$$ behind a screen name. Again, no prob, I can take it or I wouldn't be on here. There will be another day, another tournament and I guarantee you that me, my coaches, my parents and my players are very classy in that we do not like to lose, but we will always do it with respect to the other team. We will not yell childish things like "way to go girls, all eight of you or hold up eight fingers while giving high fives". Even if that were only done to me, it still shows a lot about the character of the person or people that did it. I just do not think that the girls deserved that and that part ticks me off more than anything else.

Once and for all - CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 97 TEXAS STORM ELITE FOR BEATING A VERY GOOD 14U TEAM. WE WERE THE ONLY ONE THAT YOU TOOK OUT. AS FOR THE RED HOTS, THAT IS WHERE THE REAL CONGRATS COME IN TO PLAY. YOU TOOK OUT TWO OF THEM AND THEN TOOK OUT THE 97 STORM TO WIN THE TOURNAMENT.

I don't know what else I need to say. We had fun, it was a great tournament and the weather was so beautiful.

Good Luck to all,
Mark

The Bombers would have needed to score over 9 runs against the Storm Elite in order for the Rattlers to advance. The pick-up player in one game did not neccessarily keep the Rattlers from advancing.
