Sorry I missed this one sounds like it made for lots of drama....

Looks like Underdog explained a lot of it. Long story short.

Line up card turned in listing nine players, one of them a player from the 97 High Voltage team , which BTW was not discussed at the plate. I guess the TD had already Ok'd that move, no problem. When the home team, 97 Elite, was fixing to bat in the bottom of the second inning, they said they had accidentally listed an injured player in the #6 hole and was wanting to put the player that actually played defense for them in the top half of the first two innings in the lineup in the #6 hole. Because we were playing straight ASA and they had no subs listed on their lineup card, they leaglly could not insert the girl into their lineup, thus causing them to take an out every time the #6 hole came up. I could have brought up the fact that they had used an illegal player (someone not on the line up card) the first two innings on defense, but elected not to try and cause more controversy. Bottom line is that I am getting ridiculed because we had to play by the rules. Sure, it would have been very easy to say OK, just let her hit, but then I would have expected the TD to step in and say it would not be allowed.

Clear as mud??

Not really, KARMA (whatever that actually means) is not that bad at all. Everybody will learn from it and get better especially the person making out the lineup card. I bet that doesn't happen again and for that I say "your welcome".

Then when the rules are used to point out the unfairness everyone trashes the coach who insisted they be enforced and the coach who was breaking the rules jumps on HB and tells everyone what a class act he is while he taunts the losing coach . This stuff would be hard to make up."

The Bombers would have needed to score over 9 runs against the Storm Elite in order for the Rattlers to advance. The pick-up player in one game did not neccessarily keep the Rattlers from advancing.

But why not use your own player that is sitting on your bench? Thats the point...

Underdog/itsallgood.....I didn't feel the need to explain but here goes. I have one player with two broken wrists, one (my other ss) was sick....which I found out Friday night wasn't going to make it at all. This put me at 9 players. For the record....we beat the rattlers 7-0...no pickup players used. My 9th player had to leave during the Bomber game for a band concert. I picked up a player (that isn't the starting ss on her own team) to fill in at the last minute. We lost 2-0. Also......check your references.....the only reason I played her there was because my other ss was pitching....but you wouldn't know that becasue you have no idea what you are talking about. By the way...my ss that was pitching is one of the best 12u ss you will find...hands down. The girl that I picked up against Mark (because my 9th player got hurt in the game before)....doesn't play ss for her team either...she's a heck of a pitcher but I refused to let her pitch. Whichever one of you guys was defending Mark.....please ask him what you call two players that we have already established play on another team during the summer..... but are playing while high school ball is going on to stay sharp......even if they have a uniform....they are called "PICK UP PLAYERS". So why is he talking about pick up players. I wasn't whining......didn't care...let the girls play. Here it is......the rattlers didn't get railroaded...they had the most runs allowed....period. Good team.....didn't work out. Be careful who's character you defend....check my resume.....no problems with anyone. I can stand behind being a class act because it's the truth. Mark...are you trying to say we cheated......we played 3 or 4 innings with 8 players......you caught the slip up......it got handled.....the game continued. I know the rule....you know the rule.....the rules were followed. It is what it is......

This is BS everyone their saw what happen when the Storm Elite 12U coach acted like a Butt-Hole yelling at the TD which is another elite coach from an older team. The reason he was crying cause he did not want the #2 rank cause he was to play Sudden impack- my words to the 12 U Elite coach your kids won those games not u. If you are going to play with the big Dogs don't cry on who you draw just play the game and what ever happens, just happens. For Most part that is why teams like Pearland, Bombers and Impack, just to mention a few that were here, I feel have so much class these teams win or lose have so much class. I even heard someone from the rattlers telling a bomber coach that they should have been seed#1 instead of the 12u elite and the bomber coach said they really did not care because they were to play the best and the tournament was just to get them ready for the summer. 12U elite coach if you are going to play with the big dogs just do that play and stop crying.

Not defending Mark or Ray.....
I think the issue of "Pick Up Players" is picking up players from teams that are entered in the tournament that you are playing in. I have seen this issue come up in previous tournaments....and believe me it is always an issue. It always gets aired out on the boards the week after.

I was not talking about the kid with the broken wrists, tell her to get better soon, know how bad that stinks to be injured. Your other player was in the dugout or warming up pitching behind the dugout the entire game. You can pick up who ever you want and you answer only to your parents, no one on this board. I, and many others, feel that you only use pick up players only if you have to and then usually not in key positions and batting 2nd. You have a very good team and I really don't think your team needs any help from anyone else.

All I hear (read) is a lot of hurt pride  from 14U coaches/parents because you got your rear handed to you by a 12U team. For goodness sake, one of the games was with ONLY 8 players!! :o

Do I not know wtf I'm talking about or what. LMAO..... Major upsets... Damn I'm good.

Mark.... You take your so called GOLD pitchers away and you have an average 2nd year 14u team. I was not impressed with how the 14u teams played, as a matter of fact the 12u teams out performed the 14's. Just sayin
