I didnt believe it myself until her old high school coach came up and told me.

Would never laugh at a player. I do however reserve the right to laugh at some parents'
posts.

The Freudian slip with "yards" isn't what was funny to me.

I know, it is the lack of grammar that tickles your innards. Apparently ate grade English is not a prerequisite for forum posting. LOL

DB,

I'm still waiting for you to regale us with your own dd's on-field exploits. Is something in the offing?

I've been working on my own submission for some time now, but I'm having trouble paring it down to under 5,000 words. I know everyone is dying to hear it all, but please bear with me--there's just soooo much to say. Maybe I'll put a newletter together at the end of the season.(??) If so I'll be sure to send one to every Heybucket member.

My apologies for the delay,

Skarp

I'll indulge in a few words but only because my public demands it.

DD is 15 years old and is 17th on the depth chart of my 10U team (she's still in 5th grade so she should be allowed to play 10's). Has an arm like a wet noodle to go with a presence in the batter's box that is akin to Taz having an epileptic seizure. The only reason I didn't cut her is her mom would withhold.

I'm seriously considering having her name legally changed to Timmy Lupas.

:?: Well, he WAS a chearleader in HS. But no joke, the police escorted her to the ballfield to pick up here equipment from the team storage room. They were there the next day when I showed up, too. Guess I shouldn't have given advance notice I was coming. :P

A cheerleader??? wait...was that sexist, I better stop before I go any further.

I just cant imagine a grown man, much less a coach putting a restraining order on a kid and having her escorted to pick up equipment. Unless she put a gun to his face or something like that.

:| No, she just called him an idiot...publicly. But she does stand up for herself. I have to constantly warn her to NOT head for the mound after the second brushback.

Sorry, just don't believe four 300' shots in one game. Sorry, just don't believe it. I've watched too many 18u Gold, college, and USA Olympic team games in the last dozen years. I can count the number of near-300' blasts on one hand. Feel free to post the date, time, game, opposing coach, names of witnesses, etc. Moreover, the odds of "hitting" the fence on the fly four times in one game at any distance (200', 180', etc.) in softball (or baseball) are astronomical.
