Can anywhere else in Texas boast that?

HUH...it doesn't matter if this thing was in Juarez, Mexico...Jemima's gonna kiss that ASA a$$ til the sun don't shine.

No...honestly don't care either way. DD is way past playing for trophies and now plays for her love of the game and a tuition check. Will I lambast ASA every chance I get...after putting up with their shenanigans for years? Uhmmmm....yup.

Be reasonable, Texas is too damn big to stick a softball national qualifying event way over in a far reaching corner of the state. Any organization that places a national qualifying event over 500 miles from its main membership/population areas deserves to lose those teams to another national organization. Oh wait, that may already be happening!

HUH??? if you have ever been to a HOF Qualifying tournament you would know they usually have 2 age groups at one location. Usually the 12's and 14's are at one location and the 16's and 18's are at another. Therefore, we are not talking about just teams, but probably somewhere between 50 - 60 teams combined between the 2 age groups.

So am I to gather from your above post that when she was competing for trophies (so her Dad could feel better about himself) she was not playing for her love of the game? It sounds like from your own words that perhaps she was forced to play when she was younger.

Also, you commented about putting up with ASA's shenanigans for years. Would you care to list all of those shenanigans you were forced to put up with by ASA? Just so I can have a background from which your poor opinions of ASA arise from.

Be happy to...Go back and read all my 1500 posts. There's plenty there.

Not enough time to revisit for some homer who doesn't have clue... and never will.

OK, obviously you are from Houston. I am curious though, what would you call Houston...isn't it located in one of those "far reaching corners of the state?"

500 miles from its main membership/population areas??? According to Google Maps, here are the distances from the "main membership/population areas" to Midland:

SA - 317
Austin - 333
Dallas - 335
Houston - 524

YES, again I admit this is a LONG way for everybody to travel to play in this tournament. But, despite my huge ego, I also do not believe that the center of the softball universe resides in Dallas, and unlike you who obviously believes it resides in Houston, or unlike my good friend Joe who believes it resides in Tarrant County. According to Google Maps, it is 240 miles from Dallas to Houston. By my math that is about 100 miles difference, not exactly a whole lot of difference when talking about that many miles.

Also, if you are referring to PGF when you mention "losing teams to another national organization," I am right there with you. However, if you are buying into the kool-aid Joe is trying to sell about VTD, then I must laugh at that comment. VTD is not a national softball organization, it is merely a team registration and insurance needs website, that also hosts tournaments in Tarrant County. And for the record, kicks the dog mess, for the most part, out of ASA when it comes to hosting tournaments in Tarrant County. It is geared towards the masses in DFW ONLY. It does not have a foothold with the upper tier teams however, because those teams are going to play ASA, HOF, and PGF qualifying tournaments. They are not the masses, they are THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE ELITE. :P

If I were to go back and revisit all 1500 of your posts, I would find one common thread...insults and negative comments about everyone and everything. You must be a miserable person. Those shenanigans you speak of are directly attributable to one person, it has nothing to do with an organization. I don't know they guy at all, but based on comments I have read on here from not only you but others as well, it sounds like he probably was not doing his job as effectively as he should. But that is one guy, not an organization.

Believe me, I have a clue. We must be doing something right over here in my household. If you want to go back and revisit my 70 posts, please do so!! You will find that from the very beginning I have said repeatedly I have no loyalties to any organization. We are going to play where the best competition is playing and where there are the most college recruiters. Period, end of discussion! Whether that is ASA, PGF or VTD.
