14U HOF Qualifier - Midland

by 3Bsnag » Thu May 06, 2010 8:45 am

It may be self explanatory, but that's a mess. You shouldn't have to scroll to see all of your columns  .

While I was on there last night creating ANOTHER help ticket for a freakin login, I couldn't help but think how this would translate into my world. If my customers couldn't automatically get a log-in, called/emailed for weeks to get the issue resolved, system was unfriendly when they eventually got there, and was difficult to transact daily business... I would be laughed out of their office regardless of how long I/the company had been around.

What if your bank was like that? Or your doctor, or grocery store, or.....? AND, you had no other options? More than ever I believe, competition is a good thing.

Rant over, maybe I'll make my own ACE card in crayon.

Back to the subject, how many teams get berths to OKC from Midland? Does OKC still give out 8 to nationals?

Didn't last year 12u qualifier get five for okc? If so why not 5 for this year for okc?

Actually, last year they gave out three berths and the other three from Texas that were able to go received "At-Large Berths". Technically 6 teams from Texas went to HOF and 5 of them qualified in OKC for Nationals.

If memory serves the HOF Qualifier has 2 guaranteed berths. The third place team is always invited with an "at large" berth and they usually know they have the slot before they leave the Qualifier. Because the HOF has become more of a Oklahoma vs. Texas tournament, Texas often receives several at large berths.

One year our team finished 5th at received an at large berth. I have known of some 6th place teams receiving an at large invitation. Whether this was because Texas was allocated that many at large berths or whether some of the teams who finished ahead of them decided not to go is not known.

I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that the 14U Peppers have a new player. Is that true 77's dad? Hard to believe that she would jump ship this far into the spring season :o

Brackets are posted on ASA website. Looks like several Fri. nite games. Anyone care to make a prediction?

Should be very interesting. I beleive Houston has more talent but Dallas has more depth. Then again the bombers can explode any given time with a flury of runs. sad only two houston teams are attending.
