Salinas Tournament May 8-9

Heard there was a great game with Outlaws and Intensity

Was an awesome finish...Intensity was down 7-2 in their last at-bats and scored 5 runs to tie it. Outlawz best hitter, #99, hit a shot down the left field line and trying to score to win the game she was thrown out at home to end the inning!! Thus, the game went to ITB. Intensity scored twice in top half and Outlawz scored just one, final 9-8. (Side-note: the Outlawz pitcher, #33, was hit by the ball by two consecutive batters in the top half of the inning of the comeback, with the latter ball striking her "extremely" hard. To her credit, after several moments of silence, she got up and finished out the game!!)

Sounds like some great ball! Kudos to both teams! Did Intensty win the tourney?

Just checked Triple Crown site...Stars took first for 12U going 7-0.

Was a great tourney with some very competitive teams. Intensity, Stars, Storm, and Outlawz have some good squads.....

I would agree that the tournament, albeit without the other "top" NorCal teams, was still competitive and featured some very exciting games. I would also include the CC Comets as a solid team. (and no my DD does not play for them) Good luck to all the rest of the year!!
