Scorpions and Texas Roadrunners are pretty good, they are from San Antonio.

The real deal between the valley and Austin is the 96 Tx Bombers from their Bats 1 through 12 can crush the ball at any given time and they also were able to add two of the better pitchers to include the ace they already had this to me make’s them the only contender in this area. Strong bats and three pitchers.

The 95 TX Blaze (Kirk) is the best but I think they moved up to 16U? The Tx Roadrunners no way they hang no pitching. The Scorpions pretty good but too many high school players and different line ups every weekend and they only have one pitcher plus they keep playing class B and I think they are going B for nationals. The only other was the South Texas Synergy, but they also moved up.

Coming from someone who watches the 96 Bombers play a lot the post above is correct. They are the strongest team until you hit Houston or Dallas. That doesn't mean they can't be beat, they are a completely 1st year 14U group of girls, and so have their off days and weekends that young girls will have. However, they are strong hitters throughout their entire line up and they have excellent pitching. No question the best talent in south central Texas as a group. Placed top 10 in ASA A Nationals in 12U last year and that was prior to the pitching add ons (and the new pitchers like their old ace can HIT!). The real question is whether the team will stay together for another shot at 14U Nationals as a second year team or if they will split up on the college exposure teams for the Bombers. Not all the girls are moving up to high school next year. There are some 96 birthdates that will still be in junior high. If you are looking for a team in the area, the Blaze is a solid program as well, that has helped LOTS of girls get D1 scholarships so they are certainly worth mentioning. Other than that, there really isn't much out there in south central Texas at the truely top level of competition in the PRE high school group.

That's some funny $#!%

Bombers and Blaze........then the rest. Plain and simple. Both programs have shown to be on top and stay on top. Blaze has already qualified for 14u ASA Nationals too. Bombers shouldn't have a problem getting there with a weak San Antonio Metro. Not to take anything away from Bombers.....it's just SA has nothing else to offer in comp for Bombers.
