For the rest of you, go ahead and take your shots at our Fusion team. Yes, we don't always win, but we have had a fair amount of success. We are very proud of what our team has accomplished and will accomplish in the future. I don't know if Mental is a part of our team, but I will tell you that our coaches have always taught the girls and the parents to respect all teams. I believe we generally have done this. As a parent, we feel very fortunate to be part of this team and organization.

Schooner...you'd better go back and read the post if you think that was an attack. You'd be better off shutting up your bleacher dad...the target of the post...than worrying about the Vicster's wounded ego. Like she said...she's a big girl and can handle anything coming from my direction...

On Fusion...I have no issue(s) with your organization. If you want to stay above the fray.. keep your parent's mouth shut when someone opts to play something other than ASA.

No shots to take at the Fusion team. I'm sure they are great girls, parents and coaches. And, I know they are a strong, tough and talented team. Good luck to all the girls playing this summer!! Looks like it's gonna be a hot one!!

joe, I generally try to stay above the fray, as it doesn't take much of a man(or woman) to post anonymously from a keyboard. Usually I prefer dealing with the face to face! I am quite sure that any words you or others may post about me, my writing style, punctuation, etc. will not hurt my considerable ego! I could care less whether anyone wants to play VTD, USSSA, IFA, ASA, etc. But you say that you only attack those that attack you! Well isn't that rather childish? Just like you don't want others to hate those that chose not to play ASA, don't continually hate on those that do! Right now like it or not, TOP to BOTTOM ASA has the best competition. Will VTD get there? Maybe so! I do like some of the things VTD is trying to do, but it's new and just not there yet. Again, hate on me all you want, I have very broad shoulders, and I ain't skeered of you wolves! Lastly Yours, Honcho aka Pancho aka Dan Beaty

Pancho...if we can be clear about one thing it's that there is never any hate from Joe. Words, stories, thrown stones on HB are part of the contents here and if anyone takes it too seriously...well then...they're the ones that should check their egos....even if it offends OUscooter. I could also care less when and where 8-18 years olds play their game, but when Jemima or any others start with the diarrhea of the mouth tirade...discounting those that choose to play VTD, USSA, USFA...you can count on old Joe to enter the "fray". Unfortunately, this fella Jemima, has shown his cards a tad bit too much by allowing others to know what group he associates with while posting his hateful opinions "anonymously from a keyboard".

As for VTD...my DD won't be playing ASA, VTD or any other... unless a college coach she wants to see is in attendance. VTD may sink or swim...and I could care less. I was critical of their idiotic attempt with this "VTD Baseball" venture especially since they've yet to take care of their core customers in softball. Business 101: dance with the one that brung ya! All it would take in DFW is for Keller, NRH and/or Southlake to move back to ASA...and the whole house of cards "might" come tumbling down. The VTD Nationals in July? Funny...but a start, and maybe the beginning of something big or a huge embarrassment. We'll see.

Until then...leave the kids and their parents... to do what they want, where they want...and stop beating your chest about the who's swinging the biggest bat (or whatever)

I am just not so sure you are right about that. Currently there is an 18U 50 team tournament being played in Allen with some of the best teams from North Texas and Oklahoma. And actually there were at one time 68 teams signed up and they had to turn teams away. It appears VTD is doing just fine and the competition is fierce.

Those 18U teams have to be 'B' teams. Surely they wouldn't waste their time playing VTD? Hmmmm....I wonder where NRHscooter's team is this weekend?

Joe - Don't "Trouble" yourself wondering about my DD or her team. She enjoyed watching some of the 18s play this weekend.
