Mckinney Mothers Day Tourny--- TX HEAT 1st --TNT 2nd --

by softball4all » Tue Jun 08, 2010 11:45 am

Funny stuff here........ I can't say too much about Boombah without being bashed by everyone on the board.......... So I guess I will take it easy..... Seems like others are figuring out what I have already said. They are either going to pickup a few good players to fill up a couple of holes, or they are going to blow up pretty soon. Few teams stay at the "almost a decent team" level they are at. They will either add two or three or lose three or four. If they get a couple of key players they will win more games, If they lose a couple or more key players they will not see the light of Sunday morning ball for a long long time. We will see what happens......... With all due respect, I wish Boombah all the best........ we all need another decent team to make things more interesting. Somebody get out the popcorn, its going to be good entertainment at the very least.

Good Day

From the bracket pitchers Dad who RUNS it from the other side of the fence. But who seems to have already made plans to join another team in the fall. Could Mizuno or D-Bat be the recipients?? Although neither team seem to be needing the "missing Boombah player" to complete their quest in A ball domination. To multiple key infielders players leaving or about to leave. The fact is that parents have made mention that until the DADDY BALL is removed, the team will never move forward. So when you see postings that the team is "looking" take that with particular caution. Sad to say, since from what I've seen and been told that they have potential to be a top B team. In fact they have 3-4 players that really need to be playing on a more competitive team. But they can't move past those road blocks like DADDY BALL and parent interference untill then. Why am I posting? I have no ill will towards Boombah itself. Ive made no personal remarks about any of the girls on the team. My DD's team plays them regularly in tournys and have yet to lose. But I also have friends on the team and ya, quite frankly I wish that 2-3 of them would see the light and possibly join us. Or find a team that is progressing and "without the drama." So don't reply unless you are from Boombah, which I doubt you will hear any argument from a Boombah parent.

Lilstormspop(AKA Pond Scum)
Unlike you, I will post and not hide behind a screen name. I would also be more than happy to discuss this on a more personal level at our next tournament.

Also unlike you and your coach, our coach has the balls to post when he sees the team needs help. You are just a mole in the stands trying to steal players from other teams.

Perhaps your screen name should be Pond Scum or Leech. As far as your friends on Boombah, I can only hope they can find someone new to talk with.

Particular caution is advised for you, because we are working hard and improving. The days of us never losing to your team may soon be coming to an end.

Proud to be a Boombah parent

Just calling it like I see it or hear it I should say. And it is confirmed that 2 players are in fact gone. Thats why the sudden influx of postings on VTD looking for shortstop & bracket pitcher. With 2 more "key" players on the verge of leaving. So I hope they do pull it out and straighten it up. This for my friends and their DD's sake who seem to be IMO hopless optimists.

DADDY BALL.

Like one of the previous post states, get out your popcorn.

Hey Pond Scum, I see you're back!

I don't want you to lose any more sleep over Team Boombah. Why don't you bring your popcorn to the next tournament, so we can have our personal discussion? I'll even supply the Dr. Pepper.

Lilstormspop, you throw an invite out to join your team, but don't tell us what team that is. I would like to consider my DD's options since you clearly think that Boombah is going to tumble.

And Jack, I am going to take you up on that free Dr. Pepper! Just make sure you put that chair of yours in the shade.

God there sure are a lot of people going after Team Boombah.I have talk to Jack couple times when they are playing but never heard him coach his dd more then any other Father does. My dd plays for 98 D-bat Allen and as far as our quest in A ball domination. We have a long ways to go there are some Houston Teams and Austin teams. If you only play local you have not seen that you will have to beat to complete that quest in A ball domination. We all have a long ways to go. Talk to me about A ball domination when you have a winning record against .The RED HOTS,TEXAS STORM ELITE,TEXAS ICE,AUSTIN FINEST and even HIGH VOLTAGE just to name a few. We all are a long way from teams like this .So I would focus my time to this goal instead of Jack and Team Boombah. We all need to figure out how to get to this level instead of trying to break up a team .Jack do not worry we all know the true. There just after Boombah players.

Chelsie is almost on the right track here. How about
Talk to me about A ball domination when you can not get run ruled by OC Batbusters, Corona Angels, Bomb Squad, Cal Cruisers, Valley Tribe-just to name a few.

Chelsierage -
You have hit the nail on the head. (And you have won a coupon for a free Dr. Pepper!)

So many people on here are worried about every little tournament that goes on this weekend or the next. They think if they win one tourney, they should be listed with the best of the best. We can all sit around and try to convince ourselves that DFW teams can compete all over Texas, but deep down, we know that we often come up short during statewide tournaments. I think the talent pool is here, just not sure on how to get everyone on the same page.

I think the first step would be to build a team with the best players you can find, and then continue looking to improve. Then you can compete all over the country, as well as the state.

I also think it would help if TDs structured OPEN touneys in a way where "B" teams have to earn what they accomplish. Keeping the draws blind would be a start, and make them unlimited runs per 1/2 inning.

Prof. Fan - The cheeseburger sounds good. Cut the onions, please.
If we have to, we can hide it behind the Dr. Peppers!
