San Antonio Metro

12U - 97 Bombers
14U - 96 Bombers
16U - Bombers White

10U went unfilled (as far as I know) as the 99 Bombers had already qualified and no one else was planning on the trip there.

12U Southerns - 98 Bombers

Not sure about the other "southern" teams.

please tell us that these bomber teams actually "EARNED" aka (played an actual tournament)there asa berth. maybe they were given these asa berths based on the fact there were no other teams registered.

Houston Metro

16u - 14 teams
1 - Texas Peppers (Berth)
2 - TPS (Berth)
3 - Texas Rebels
4 - Sting Blue

14u - ? teams
1 - Storm Elite (Berth)
2 - Kaos (Berth)
3 - ?
4 - Sting

Seems odd to me that Dallas and Ft. Worth each get two berths from their metros but each only had like 4-6 teams in them.

ASA website says each tournament gives direct berth to winner only. Is this not correct? You are right about the teams, Fort Worth has 4 and Dallas has 5 at most but I heard they may only have 4 as well. If they do give 2 berths, 50/50 shot at nationals ain't bad though, right?

Lefty, there were 4 teams in both the Ft. Worth and Dallas metros, and only one berth awarded for each of those. Any other berths awarded would have been at large bids. I am not aware of any of those being passed out yet! Congrats to Texas Glory (Adkins) for winning Ft. Worth, and to Texas Fusion for winning Dallas in 16U!

Those Metro's are a damn joke. I don't think it is fair for the state teams when a Metro team can choose to be state or metro, but state teams don't have a choice. 4 freakin teams playing for 1 berth ? Niether of those finished top ten in Regional or Qualifier. Noticed all Elite teams in the state tourn. . It's BS. Not a true representation of the best in the state !!!! Glory Adkins, Fusion, Give me a damn break !

Not sure which teams that played at State you're calling "Elite", I've seen most of those top 5 teams play this year and I don't think all can really be called "Elite".
That being said the DFW metros I think should be combined and then they can give out two berths. The Houston Metro top two teams did great and although they may think different, I think they proved they both are "Elite".

fastpitchfan...You said that "State" teams can't decide to play in a Metro but that's not exactly true. The Peppers used to play in the State tournament and I believe they moved to Metro last year. I could be wrong but my understanding is that once the team moves from state to metro they have to play Metro each year thereafter (or something like that).

And by the way, We, Texas Fusion, finished in the Top 8 of the HOF Qualifier, and the top 6 of the National qualifier. We chose as a team to not play regional as our Head Coach was getting married that weekend. At HOF qualifier, our 2 losses were to TPS and Glory(Naudin)! At the National Qualifier, we lost one to Sneaky Cleats, and Glory(Naudin). Our 2 losses to Naudin, we were ahead at various points, and I'm sure they would agree they were very close on the field as well as on the scoreboard!
