Therefore, it is also safe to say Texas cannot compete at the 12, 14 and Gold level?

madness wrote:I honestly don't think we have to wait until Nationals to prove anything. Texas Glory won 10U nationals last year. When will it happen again? Not in a while. Why? California has better competition, better coaching, better weather, better teams. Simply put, California is better at EVERYTHING!
Playing in cow fields using rocky mountain oyster softballs can only take you so far.
So YEEHAW your a$$ on over to AFA or NFA where a "National Title" may be easier to get.
I remember playing a few Texas Teams at Nationals a few years back. Can anyone say "UGLY MERCY"?

AS IF...Cal hasn't a clue how to boil, fry or stew.

As a 10U team at Nationals we beat from Californai Corona Angels (13th), Victory USA (7th), California Rebels (17th). These were the best California had, excluding the Nemesis (9th). Vipers (9th) we beat 6-10 times last year, never losing to them, but beat the Nemesis.
From Texas, we played the Batbusters (25th) & Austin Stars (17th).
We beat the Georgia Impact (3rd) 3 or 4 times last year, never losing to them.
We beat the Falcons about 50% time that finished 13th.
We beat the Thunderbolts 6 or so times never losing to them and they finished 7th.
In 2007 we played the 3rd place, 7th place, 2- 9th place teams, 13th place, 3 - 25th place teams, 33rd place team many times in 2007 and posted approx. a 30-5 record agaisnt these finishers at Nationals. The only losses in 2007 to these teams came from the 13th place finisher.
So for 12U in 2008 & 2009 I agree with Gone 2.6 that you better pack a lunch because the south is ready!!!!

I know. I just enjoy getting those other states tick'd!
Although i have to admit, you can't claim you're better than California if bulls balls are a cuisine in your state.
