Best of Texas Tournament in Taylor? How did teams look?

by Ice Man » Mon Sep 20, 2010 1:48 pm

Does anyone have any opinions on any teams from the Best of Texas tournament in Taylor? Does anyone have the results from each of the pools?

Could someone comment on how many coaches were there? We thought about it but did not go. The old St. Ed.'s tourney at their field had a decent number.

Some of the schools I saw out there were:

St Marys University
Our Lady of the Lake
Texas Lutheran
Southwestern
University of Houston-Tilutson
McLennan Community College

And of course St Edwards

I may have a one,two maybe a few but these schools were at our games

At 18U, the Platinum roster looks pretty strong in Central Texas. At 16U, they clearly underachieved by not making ASA Nationals in College Station. But in their second year, they could win alot of games. Congrats. The St.Eds tourney claimed to award some prizes for wins, runs, etc. Which teams received those prizes?

In reference to Bombers Black 5-0 no runs scored, I heard this was the weakest Pool with no teams at national's this past year other than the bombers at 14U and They finished like 112Th, This team looks way different from this past summers team very weak., anyway what about the big gold teams how did they do?
