When the parents of players who suck start teams of their own....
Run your mouth when I'm not around
Its easy to achieve
You cry to weak friends that sympathize

Good Reply Sam.

The problem with parents that complain about daddy ball ball is there kids usually suck because their parents suck at coaching. So, if they started a team, their team would suck and their kids still wouldn't learn anything and would continue sucking. It's a vicious cycle.

Yep, I’ve seen a lot of daddy ball this weekend as well. I saw a coach screaming at several girls because they could not catch the bad throw that was thrown by the daughter. For those father’s who are guilty are only setting their daughter’s up… and they're giving the father's who don't a bad name. The funny thing those few coaches who do play daddy ball act like they don’t do it….. I guess it’s better to be in denial right?

[size=200]Who determins that these kids so called suck? <--if you have that type of mentality then you dont need to be coaching anything.

Do travel coaches go through any type of " PROPER!!!!! " TRAINING?

A GOOD coach can motivate a (Any) player to become better NOT JUST THERE KIDS! A BAD coach writes them off.

We do. Sam was way too polite in his response. If you think we are wrong, get your lazy ass out there and start your own team. Oh, wait, you already did, then see my first sentence.

First of all, for a coach to only motivate there (sic) kids, either he better have 2 or 3 sets of triplets or be a practicing mormon, or he's not gonna ever have a very good team.

Secondly, IMHO, a travel ball coach's job isn't to make kids into better ballplayers, it's to figure out the best positions for the kids on the team and get them to work as a team. You don't normally have enough time to teach kids how to catch ground balls, etc. That's the job of us parents. I take my DD to a pitching coach, and we spend a lot of time every week on her defense skills and hitting. I don't expect her coach to improve that stuff, when he sees a group of 12 girls a couple hours at a time once or twice a week. That time should be spent on defensive strategy, etc.

Third, if you're having issues with your current team, which it seems you are, you have basically 3 options. Either tough it out, find a new team, or start one yourself :)

Edit to add....

wow alot of you coaches are angry people.

first were not lazy and second most of our kids go to lessons and PAY to have our kids on these teams.

what does starting your own travel ball team really do for the kid and yourself?
So we need more parents to --D I L U T E--the sport of Softball by taking on team ...PLEASE.

THE QUESTION WAS WHEN WILL DADDY BALL END? WE NEED MORE --F E M A L E-- COACHES WHOM HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME.
