I usually don't post on here and just read through some of this stuff for entertainment purposes only. As my then 15 yr old DD told me a few years ago "I don't understand why adults spend so much time and energy worrying about what 14 and 15 year old girls are doing any way." But some of you guys apparently haven't been paying close enough attention. Maybe I'm wrong but have you seen an (softball) organization grow as quickly or as successfully as the Indiana Gators? Have you seen a Coach be able take a new team of 12'13'and 14 yr old mostly B players 5 yrs ago, and in two years. get them to not just playing on Sunday but winning tournaments in ASA A tourneys? Can you tell me of many coaches that could take these same girls who probably never even thought they might get a shot at playing at the next level to practically all or most of them getting serious looks from college coaches by the summer of their jr year? And let's see, by this time next year I think something like 8 or 10 WILL be going to college, continuing their education, and on scholarship to play SOFTBALL. But yet some people want to get on here and pretend that they can do a better job. Most of you have no idea what these girls have been through but I won't even get in to that. I can tell you this, and I've been around this (man)TEAM for 5 years, and I only wish I had another child, girl or boy that could spend the time that my daughter has spent with Mark Lloyd and his family(including those 2 a.m. games at the "Gator Zone")and learn what she has learned. And not just about softball. I know you won't find anyone that cares more about a kids' well being as a player or person than he. So you can have our sweatshirts. But you are missing the bigger prize.
