TX Aces-Express 16U- Spring into Softball Tournament

The TX Aces-Express 16U would like to thank all of the teams who entered our tournament on the 25th-27th of February. We have decided to cancel our tournament, and are asking all teams that entered ours to enter the Deer Park Benefit tournament for Marti. We had 11 teams and could have done a round robin but we feel it is way more important for you to show your support to the Deer Park tournament. Prayers go out to you Marti and to Deer Park to make lots of money!

Come support our team June 17th though 19th when we host again.

What kind of a Question is that? A benefit is being helded for a very well liked and respected man who has Liver Cancer and you want to talk about fishing. I surely hope you did not understand what was going on. If you did and were trying to be cute seek mental help as soon as possible.

Slappy...you're exactly right. My fishing comment was in reference to another conversation with the fellow from Longview. After re-reading the post, the subject about a fellow in need was indeed missed. My apologies...

I have a $500 check on my desk and will drop it in the mail tomorrow morning if you would kindly provide an address and organization name.

Here you go Joe,

Some of you might know Marti as a coach from the Red Hot's, or to others as the coach who always wore flip flops and windpants...even in 100 degree weather. But others may know him as Connie Isle's brother. He has been coaching softball for 14 years, and at times coaching when he didn't have a daughter or family on the team. He's been a Red Hots coach for the past 9 years and a coach for the Texas Aces for the past year. We recently learned that Marti has been diagnosed with Liver Cancer.

Some of the softball families in the surrounding Houston area are putting together a benefit softball tournament for Marti. ALL the proceeds will go to Marti to help with medical expenses. Let's give back to someone who has given ALOT to Softball in the Houston area for years.

Date: February 25-27
Location: Deer Park Girls Softball Complex (and possibly other complexes)
Entry fee: $150

Joe, I am glad to hear your comments were about something else, sorry for the confusion. I have read your post in the past and felt you were not the type person to make comments like that.
