I'm with "looking in" on the NSA "B" comment.

They won 10-1, 5-1, 9-1, etc. Is that really being challenged? I have seen the Lasers play, they are very good. But, those scores would indictate that there are alot teams from the midwest that would have beat those same teams. Unfortunately they werent challenged due to the weather. Would I call it a wasted trip, not sure, they will be going back again a month. Hopefully they will be challenged then. You only can play who you are scheduled to play.

Also "Bake" there is a helluva good chance the neither of the Sox teams will go to USA/ASA Nationals if you have to qualify through Indiana. So dont "bake" your eggs before they hatched. :D :D

SoCals Finest puts on good tournaments with great competition at a top-notch facility in Hemet. It would be a shame if you missed it.

Firecrackers 98 and Victory are playing in the 14u division at So Cals Finest Beat The Heat, but there are some pretty good 12u So Cal and Nor Cal teams playing, along with a couple AZ teams. I would not be surprised to see Lady Lasers do quite well at that tourney.

Hey RiseballCoach, any coach that brings his team from the midwest to So Cal twice in a months time is challenging his players, or maybe you think it would be more challenging to go play indoors in Fort Wayne.....also RiseballCoach, why did you fail to list Sunday's scores. Why can't you give credit where it's due?

Then you write............."Also "Bake" there is a helluva good chance the neither of the Sox teams will go to USA/ASA Nationals if you have to qualify through Indiana. So dont "bake" your eggs before they hatched"...............I NEVER SAID IT WOULD BE EASY, and I don't "bake" at all, in fact I am well aware of how diffucult it is to win a USA/ASA National bid, I don't take things for granted in this game!!!

Bake, I am with you on all of your above comments! You are a student of the game and it shows. It is too bad, however, that you are in the minority. Trophy hounds and those who seek instant gratification out number the true fastpitch junkies! This is quite apparent in the 10U and 12U levels. I know it gets better as you go up but I wish it was the same in the entry levels. You must play the best to be the best! Thumping on "B" teams does not help anyone!

So, who are these supposed "A" teams that are playing B? Maybe I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time, nor last), but most NSA tournaments in Indiana are A/B open. No??

Is it possible that outsiders view a team as "A", when the coaches/parents of a team who "aren't taking anything for granted" (as Bake said) are being realistic? Or, what about how a team in central Indiana may be "A" material in comparison to other local teams, but that might not be the case on a regional scale? Each team has reasons for doing what they do. The reason isn't always trophy hunting as I've heard suggested in this forum.

Where are all the "A" teams? I believe the next best tournament as far as cometition goes, will be in Elgin middle of May, Sparks Invatational. Who's all going??? That tournament usually draws some pretty solid teams!!!

Crown Point Bulldogs 98 and Indiana Xtreme 98 is going to Sparks Invitational. After SportZone this weekend a WI team that was there, called the Kenosha Cyclones, said they were going as well.

I heard Shirley's daughter comment that the Bulldogs wanted to play up at 14U and she wouldn't let them. Our team played against them and I also watched a couple of their other games. The way they all hit the ball the only way they could have held back would have been to intentionally strike-out. I would like to take my daughter to whoever their hitting coach is.
