What's on your mind?

by NumeroUno » Mon Jun 23, 2008 9:18 am

I am looking for some advice from a couple local boys from the Montgomery area. I have a few questions and if you can help a heybucket tee shirt and a few heybucket trading pins will be the payoff.

I live about 70 miles south of Montgomery. We go there pretty often. Advice from a local gal not guy. It will be hot, around 95-99 with afternoon thundershowers and very humid. Your girls will need a cooler with ice, rags, and amonia water to help them stay cool. As far as restaurants go, there are quite a few. You will not have any trouble finding some where to eat. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Last year about this time I was watching the weather in Cal. and the weather for Auburn, Al for 10U Nationals... I believe the heat and humidity played a large roll on how some of the California teams faired in the final standings. It was very, very hot........last year and was in a midst of a drought. This year hasn't been as bad..

I would use Huntington Beach, Ca as my weather search. (I saw last year a big tournament there. Not sure if this is a good reference or not)

Next 10 days average high is 73.9 in Huntington Beach
Next 10 Days average in Montgomery is 89.5

and we are still approx 1 1/2 months away... I lived here all my life and when it is hot it is hot...You see more and more generators and large fans being brought to the park to help with the cooling.
