Repairing pitcher's cleats

What's on your mind?

Hi All,
My daughter used to go through a pair of cleats in a weekend. A really tough mound might destroy them in one game. We tried everything, including tuff toe. Nothing worked until I sent a cleat to Tuff Toe's factory and had it dipped. You can get it dipped in several colors. She has had the same cleats through HS and now the travel season. We have saved mucho dinero! You simply buy a new pair of cleats and mark with marker or chalk or something to show them where you want the cleat dipped. We are totally happy with the result. My daughter had the same funny wear pattern described by the previous post, a quarter size hole right behind the ball of her foot. My .02 for what its worth.

You can order the cleats directly from tuff toe and they dip the toe and send them out to you the next day. I have been doing this for a couple of years now and it is very convenient. I don't have to do anything but place an order and hand the box over when it arrives.

My DD went through shoes at an outlandish rate. Then, we ordered a pair of these:

She will play her 72 game this year by the end of this weekend. Those shoes are still going strong. Simply put, one of the best purchases we've ever made with regards to softball. BTW, the built in pitcher's toe comes on both shoes since they are a pair. That sounds crazy but your dd will be happy they do when one of those foul balls hit her toe.
