Way too many 12U teams. It wouldn't be as big a problem, but NSA is putting the "B" and "A" teams all together. Makes it a lot tougher on both sides.

Several good teams in the area. Extreme 98, Edge 98, Team Nike, Team Indiana, Gators 99, Tanel Prospects, Brownsburg Bombers. The Extreme have set themselves apart right now. All the others are talented but need to be more consistent. As for the rest of the state, CP Bulldogs 98, Indiana Diamonds, NWI Sox

We'll see how it shakes out as the year goes on. Anyone I'm missing from around the state?

Seriously, though...it's like pulling teeth to get anyone to discuss the 12u's. What's up with that??
We've got 50+ 12u teams in Indiana it seems. WAYYYY too watered down. Too bad there can't be a limit set on the number of teams.

Come on dude, 10U is where it's at!

We're just getting started. Only 38 pages to go.

If we could only have a team kicked out of an organization to get us jump started. :D

Extreme 98 and Prospects 98 are the most consistant and seem to be there every Sunday late. Gators 99 are right there and have some really good players and are fun to watch. Team Indiana, when they are hitting on all cylinders are as good as anyone. Nike and Sox are in the upper 5 teams or so. Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of these top teams merge next year when they move up. 8-) 8-) JMO

26 teams playing Sparks Invitational @ 12U. This will probably have the largest number of teams in a tourney for the season (could be eclipsed by Chicago Metros). There are some very solid teams, but also a number of lower tier teams.

We were hoping both Homer Hawks and Crete Crush would be in Sparks Invitational. We played the Crush at Ft. Wayne as 10s, but have not seen them since. These are 2 very good ball clubs. Hopefully we can get the opportunity to play them at some point.

Heard a guy from Illinois explain 12u to me. He said that Illinois has more "teams" that are overall better and Indiana has more total "players" that are better, but they are spread out over multiple teams. After stepping back and looking, I think he is absolutely correct. Right now it seems that any dad that doesnt like what the coach did or where his kid plays puts together a "travel" team. Who is the dominant team going to be when they hit 14u? Who will be the exposure teams? I think CP and Xtreme have set themselves in good positions, but who else will step up. There are a lot of kids out there spread out over other teams that if put together would really challenge those teams and make the 14u division very interesting.
