16U coaches abandon team

What's on your mind?

by Cookie » Thu Jul 10, 2008 1:14 pm

I agree the gas situation is out of control and I completely understand that. The thing is gas prices were out of control a month ago and this is when the coaches should have let their team know that they were unable to hold up to their commitment. Waiting until a week and a half before a tourney to bail out just does not seem right.

I think the true underlying cause of the coaches not going has to be known before anyone can offer a well-reasoned opinion.
At least the kids still got to go. That's important.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Some folks are in denial, thinking things will get better until the bitter end.....wonder if some of them may have been awaiting their Stimulus Check from the Government. Don't know...but I can certainly sympathize with these guys.....I'm betting that they would have gone if it was reasonably possible. JMO.

Greg Focker: Well some people think that 'to puff the magic dragon' means to... puff... smoke... a marijuana cigarette.
Jack Byrnes: Puff is just the name of the boy's magical dragon... You a pothead, Focker?
Greg Focker: No, I pass on grass always. Well not always.
Jack Byrnes: Yes or no?
Greg Focker: No, um, yes, um...

NumeroUno -

Why did you remove my post?
When asked how many times she hit Tiger with the golf club, she responded, "I'm not sure...put me down for an 8!

Ok Folks, Well I am a member of this team and the majority of the things that are being said are far from the truth of what really is happening. The coach in question did notify the Organizational Leader to inform him that they were not attending Colorado because of job commitments and unable to get away due to company business. The Organizational Leader told the coach not to worry he would handle the situation. The only mistake the coach made was he failed to notify the team parents of this. Lack of communication really can screw up things. So before you pass judgment and get this thread way out of hand, think before you post something because our girls do read this board and we really are trying to keep things positive for the teams sake. I can tell you this, we will be at Nationals and with any luck our coaches will be onboard with us. We all thrive on gossip but gossip is usually what destroys friendships and relationships. Get the facts first. This is a team matter and we will get through this like most teams do.

Thank you for understanding,
BTM65

Other than the shooting, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
