Of course 10u teams travel to Socal to play.....in tournaments!! We are talking about a single player leaving a Norcal team to go play for a Socal team.

And I can almost guarantee that she is not a 9 year old!!!

As a coach who has had his share of battles with the Nor Cal teams this year I would hate to see AASA fall apart they are a well coached team and have always made us step up our game when playing them. My 2 cents... You always have to bring your A game when playing the Breeze Chet and the boys do a great job over there. Raul has done a great job with the Hype they have really played well in the last couple tournaments. I agree with Init we have talked about Monday Madness with parents after winnings tournaments.

Good luck to the Breeze on there trip to Nationals I am sure you guys will represent Nor Cal great.

After watching the teams play as of late I would have a few adjustments to make to my top ten. I think it goes with out saying AASA had the team to beat in 10u this year however with the recent implosion of the team it looks like they are no more. It’s very unfortunate to see this happen to any team. Leads me to a question for the parents of the team. What have you managed to teach your kids? Softball is not only about winning games it is also about life lessons. It is no secret that Robert is a very intense coach however you knew that when you joined the team. You joined because you wanted your DD to play for the best. Way to teach your kids how to quit there commitment to each other, there team and their coach who has put countless hours in teaching your DD’s and doing what it takes to build a winning team. At 10 years old you have taught them how to use someone to get where you want to go. Then get used by the next person who needs you for their own goals. Good luck with those teams you jumped on to go to Nationals I hope they reach their goals while using your DD’s

The Breeze and Mizuno 00 have both shown as of late that the length of schedule with approx 70 games for each team played will start to wear on teams. Both teams have struggled at the last tournaments they played. The Breeze had tuff weekend at NSA States and Mizuno 00 had a tuff weekend at Associations both teams had a hard time with the bats at times and some very uncharacteristic errors costing them a few important games. It’s hard to separate these 2 teams they are both well coached and play hard but at the end of the day Mizuno still has more wins over the Breeze. Rocklin Hype has been on a roll the last month or so. The Hype has been playing great softball as of late and has shown they have what it takes to be in the top 3. Mayhem has been a strong team all year and has always been in my top 5. The crossfire is a great team that I will put in my top 5 which is hard. I have watched this team play a lot of B tournaments and try to enter tournaments as a B team when there was an A and B option. They are a strong team that should be playing more A tournaments.

4. Manteca Mayhem

I think the "higher ups" at AASA pulled the plug, due to them believing that it was in the best interest of the program.......

Again, I have said this a thousand times, 10's are about development and getting the kids exposed to competition BUT, you have to keep it in prospective or you will lose kids and their parents.. it gets real serious quick enough, so let the little ones have fun, its not all about the "W", its about seeing 9yr olds smiling when they go home and not worried they let down dad....

Thanks Triple Crown for putting the ultimate goal for our 10's into perspective. As for the other AASA comment by Sftballjunkie....Everyone made their own decisions (which were very difficult) based on what was BEST for their daughter. Anyone that knows this team knows they are not quitters. Don't judge until you've walked in their shoes
