Coaching TWO teams in a Nat'l qualifier

Rule question? Get it answered here.

by sftblldud » Sat Jul 09, 2011 2:57 pm

Can a Coach Coach more than one team in a ASA Nat'l Qualifier? I've looked at the rule book and can't seem to find anything to indicate if a Coach can do this.

Anything not specifically forbidden is allowed.

But, this really isn't an umpire, rule, or even ASA Code issue. Who would put themself in this obvious position of conflict of interest, and expect the parents OF BOTH TEAMS to accept whatever the results are??

Are the 2 teams in the same age classification (i.e. competing against each other) or different ones?

Same Organization, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 teams entered in a 18 gold Nat'l Qualifier up in Spokane.

From what I understand and heard is this guy got his Draw and placed his teams accordingly to how strong the bracket was.

Fuzzy never posts brackets. He is a super awesome guy and done more for softball than anyone I know. He runs a great tournament, has great umps, great fields, great people to meet. Just computers are not his strong suit. Brackets are usually scrawled in horrible handwriting at the field.
