Has anyone been watching the World Cup games? Short of about 5 players is anyone else disappointed with the "product" the US is putting on the field? I understand the philosphy of letting some younger-new generation players play, but my goodness there is a huge dissparity in talent between the team last year and this year. What does this say for the US? How is this helping bring softball back to the Olympics?
I am glad to see someone else has noticed this as well. I was starting to think it was just me. The current team doesn't even compare to the last roster.
I have seen two games.... i am not impressed very much at all. It is like a J.V. team for sure. If they beat Japan, it will be a miracle. Scratching my head on this one.
You could argue that the Yankees still haven't replaced Ruth, or the Dodgers haven't replaced Koufax. And you'd be right, because some players aren't replaceable.
Big shoes aren't usually filled, they're grown in to.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Jordan Taylor absolutely owned the Japanese in the 7th inning yesterday. K K K good night.
The oldies are playing NPF, pretty much all on the same team. Watch them. Boring.

I assume you're 'boring' reference is to NPF, because in international play the fences are at 220', which opens up the field quite a bit. And the women on the National team aren't nearly so grown.
