Played at Santee on the non-sportsplex fields, but they were well maintained. Umpires terrific. Up to now, we played three teams that finished top 15 last year and the pitching is exceptional. I really like the program listing where players are committed. Looking forward to seeing another top team tommorrow on the main fields.

I am disappointed that ASA did not screen all bats in this tourney. I have seen teams bring out there 5-6 year old eastons and mikens. I doubt those would pass the test.

Hard to understand why they made an announcement ahead of time that bats would not be checked.

It's like the police announcing they won't be checking for drunk drivers.

Great news for scofflaws, bad news for everybody else.
