First off , it is good this pedophile is off the streets. I know of the guy and im sure it caught everyone off guard as in most cases you never believe that this will happen. So I hope these families are getting through this ok and we should all support them. I dont see how the comets or Mike should really be involved only that it happened to their org and team.

Asking someone to sign their name on here to see if they hold any weight in the softball community is laughable. The 'community' is only used as a way to put more merit into something. The community is usually 3 jackasses who think they know it all and not the sentiments of the actual community. It is also generally false when someone says that this is what the community thinks. Its some jerk with no balls who is afraid to stand on their own with what they think to be true. So lets not use that card.

According to someone on this thread thinks I may be to sensitive on this topic, maybe cuz my daughter plays for Mike . On here I am not talking about some other team I am talking about OUR TEAM. We had all thought as parents that the girls had gotten to put this in the past and move on. Only to have some Jacka$$ throw it back in thier faces and having other kids ask if it was them?

BTW-I have no problem calling out someone to stand by what they say!
Our team has been through enough.

I have some advice for you: Don't come in here for a few weeks. The more you post, the more people will read this thread as it comes to the top. Regardless of what you say or do people are going to discuss this topic, hear accurate and inaccurate information and have opinions. There will be a Hell of a lot more people with opinions about this than you will reach on this site. You will never encounter most of the people on here whereas you will encounter a sh*tload of people at your games that talk about this situation. It sucks and the innocent parents and kids on this team are victims. But by keeping this thread alive by posting, you are doing your team a disservice IMO. I wish all the kids and parents the very best in this unfortunate situation.

Lets move on from this topic. Coach Loomis and the Comets organization took all necessary and immediate steps once this came about. All parents of players on the team were notified immediately and all the organizations that Steve coached in were made aware of the situation. I just find it a bit odd and unique timing that someone is bringing this up again on a national chat board well after the unfortunate event took place. The man is serving his time for his unexcusable actions. The lesson here is to make sure you have open communication with your daughter's and make sure they are aware of this potential danger in life. Lets move on and concentrate on softball.

You find it odd that someone is bringing this up to a national chat board? Oh no you didnt!!!
I dont care if someone started this thread 2 years after the fact. It needs to be read and people, scratch that..... EVERYONE needs to know. You cant be serious. Oh and with every post this thread gets more attention. Which is a GREAT thing. I dont care if he is serving his time. No credit for what should be happening to this guy and probably worse. Just go away troll

I agree. This is not about slamming an organization. This us about protecting kids. If it weren't for this site, I would not have known this even happened. Taking about this is bigger than a team
This should be talked about.

I think this being out in the open is a good thing. It brings awareness to something that is so important to the safety of our children. I know one thing for absolute sure, my DD will NEVER EVER go anywhere with ANY coach ANYTIME by themselves, end of story. Fortunately I have followed this rule since she started.
