New Teams Forming

by Tenshun » Thu Aug 04, 2011 11:10 am

Looks like the shuffling has begun and we have quite a few changes going on.

Team Demarini starting a 12u and 14u

Bruins starting a 14u

KG Hitters starting two 12u teams

FH Gold 98 moving to the Grapes 14u

What other new teams are forming? Any other big changes or player moves?
No courage. No game.

Don't think DeMarini is starting a 14u (?) I believe it's 12u & 16u... But I'm not one "in the know". Just going off of a previous thread... viewtopic.php?f=617&t=27373

It does appear that there will be a 14U. I haven't seen a formal announcement for tryouts yet, and the team website remains under construction. Technically the 16U will also be a new team, as no one on Silverstreak has been guaranteed a spot on the new team.

The Demarini team is definitely having a 14U team. It is posted on DF Softball.

Another new team forming is an academy team, a sister organization to Hanks Bombers will be called The Lady Bombers:

Lady Bombers Softball- Hank’s Lady Bombers is a newly formed sister organization to the highly successful Hank’s Bombers Baseball Club. Girl’s will get the opportunity to learn the skills and fundamentals of the game from former professional athletes that have played the game at the highest level. The Bombers Organization is dedicated to teaching the small things in the game with an emphasis on speed and agility all the while focusing on the teamwork and camaraderie that will prepare them to succeed at the next level.

I believe the Comets 18 or 18G team has left the organization. There were two 18's last season
The G team is no more and is reforming under yet another coach and the "non-G" team is the former 16 team.

The more things change, the more the green grass ends up over the septic tank!

lol@ Heyall
I saw the Patriots new team with ex Comets coaches. Wondering if they didnt like the dilution of talent between 2 18 teams? They have a great staff so you always wonder what went wrong. They should be fine, they have enough experience to get away with starting a new team and still getting into big tourneys.

Just like players moving from team to team, coaching staff also do the same. So what this is at least the 3rd or 4th organization for some of this staff. The problem may not be the organizations it could be that the staff can't work will within a stuctured system. Just my thoughts!
