OC Impact loses to TPS.

AA's out after losing to CA and then Anderson Heat.

Yowza.

Looks like AH should have lost their first game instead. Travelers are totally cruising up there...they probably won't get a real test until 1:00 tomorrow.

Meanwhile AH most likely has, consecutively (and assuming they get by CA 96 tonight), Kruzers, OC Impact, SJ Sting, and either TNL/Travelers or the loser of Deerpark/Grapettes. All tomorrow!! And they've already faced a couple very tough teams since dropping down.

That'll be an epic run if they make it to Sunday.

Grapettes - CA
Corona Angels - CA
Bomb Squad - CA

Losers bracket
Texas Travelers - TX
RR Blaze - TX
Anderson Heat - CA
Nemesis - CA
Kruzers - TX
SJ Sting - CA
TNL - CA

How about you teach some manners and sportsmanship. I think you are missinit

So you decide to come and criticize when she does the right thing... did it ease the pain of losing?
I know these coach's well and I'd be willing to bet if a player didn't come out to shake hand's, win or lose, it would only happen once unless there was a good reason(injury or illness). I think there's a little tabloid thing going on here.

The Travelers quietly run ruled each opponent on Friday, scoring 51 runs while allowing 0. It will be interesting to follow them on Saturday against stronger competition. They have allowed 9 runs during the tournament (including pool and bracket play) allowing 1 by the Grapettes and 5 by Anderson Heat.
[i]Wow, a "full ride" at Bugtustle State College to play softball. Let me know how that degree looks on the resume.

Everybody still playing deserves a lot of credit, but you've got to give major props to CA '96 for their showing thus far. Great job by those kids!!

And the brackets on the web site haven't updated yet on some of the 8pm games...

any help with BS vs SJ Sting, and the games in the lower bracket...

AH vs CA 96...?
NE vs MG...?

Interesting.

It's starting to look like the Kruzers will end up 3rd among the Texas entrants. (If I remember correctly, many said a top-5 finish was a virtual certainty--and queenbee actually opined that they were THE favorite.) I've never seen them play, and I understand they are quite good, but I just don't see them running this gauntlet. Things set up much better for Deer Park (obviously) and Travelers.

You made an assumption about the Bomb Squad/ Sting game didn't you?
Thats o.k., I assumed the same thing and was surprised when I saw the bracket this morning.
Good job Sting.
Two out of final four in winners bracket are Nor Cal... not bad.

couple comments and questions ---I'm with the Ohio Stingrays. We were soooo close to being in the final 16 winners bracket , Up 4-2 with 1 down , 6th inning, no one on base VS SJ Sting, SS either pulls 1st baseman or 1st baseman pulls her foot for what would have been 2nd out. Momentum swings, Sting draws a walk, then a gapper, then a line drive the pitcher could not handle. 6-4 Sting final. They got the hits when they needed them.
Any idea who they lost too in the round of 16 ?

Who knocked out Chi town express ? And is there an updated website with fridays scores any where ?

Stingrays certainly did'nt play their best ball , played pretty well VS Georgia Lightning but almost gave that game away with a couple mistakes (my dd threw to the wrong base from center, kid missed a sign in the late innings to give an out at 2nd. infield had more than 1 error). sure lots of teams feel they did'nt play their best.

Played pretty well VS Salinas Storm yesterday. Fell 8-6 but hit the ball more like the team I've seen the past 2 months . Just could'nt keep their speed off the bases , speaking of speed the outfield for the Sting was super quick, they were all over everything. That was the most striking difference I noticed from watching my 1st ASA's --It was not pitching , we saw 2 girls at NSA's (Indy Diamond Chix and JC (no.Carolina) Clippers that were better than 90% of what we saw at ASA's ., it was overall team speed . The Elite teams are fast at nearly all positions. Not just 4 or 5 kids that run well, sometimes they have all 9 that can fly.

Looking foward to next year. MD
