Renegades Fox would be in that group as well.

These teams would have had to get by all these teams to do it and I just don't think it would have happened----Oklahoma Force '94, Sneaky Cleats Springer, Texas Bombers – White, Southern Force – Thomas, Lasers Scarlett - Columbus, OH

Even if they would have beat the 1st three, the last 2 listed was bad a$$. Especially the Lasers. Once they got to the loser bracket, it was as if they were on a mission.

When “best national” is said, what it means is “most competitive national”. Everybody knows that the goal is to get your kid in college but fall to spring is set up to go to the most competitive national. That is the goal of most every competitive team out there. All the sentimental sentiments about the Nationals being an experience was touching and all but who doesn't think that? Anything I do with my dd is an experience that I will cherish. Stating the obvious doesn't make PGF any less of a regional National than it already is.

Cal Lite was also very good. You can always look at Boulder for a good idea too. Southern Force Archibald won Boulder but the 6 of the top 8 at Boulder 16U were at PGF. Another interesting fact is that two of the So Cal 16U teams finished top 10 at ASA Gold and finished 5th and 7th at PGF 16U. Not sure what it all means. There were definitely some good teams at 16U ASA and I know there were lots of good teams at PGF 16's too. Let the squabbling continue.

What that means IMO is...If Glory Naudin had went to ASA Gold, they would have probably won it but if they would have went to ASA 16u they probably wouldn't have made the top 5 so the 2 teams you mentioned dang sure wouldn't have. I was for Glory at PGF and wish they would have won it.

I have a question for you Battle. Which, if any, has your DD had the pleasure of playing out of these high lighted teams? if any, I might think you wouldn't have the opinion that you do. To be honest, out of your list my DD has only played the Sneaky Cleats. I can honestly say they do not match up AT ALL to any of the So Cal teams high lighted. It's OK to have an agenda, but do not try and justify them with naming teams, especially if you do not have first hand knowledge. JMO

Battle your last posts killed your fight. All the teams I named would of had a very good chance to win 16U asa. TNL won and they are all as good as TNL. TNL has a great pitcher but those teams all have good pitching and great sticks. Know one will ever know so I am done here.

ASA is great and I loved every ASA national that I went to, Premier had all or most of the best teams in it this year.

Out of these...Oklahoma Force '94, Sneaky Cleats Springer, Texas Bombers – White, Southern Force – Thomas, Lasers Scarlett - Columbus, OH...We have played or seen all of them. Using Glory as a measure (who is a very good team, 2nd at PGF, played them also), if the teams mentioned couldn't beat Glory then IMO they couldn't have beat these teams on an average day. Just my opinion though.
Naudin got 4th at the HOF in OKC and OK force won it. OK Force finished 9th with the Cleats at ASA Nats. So in my opinion...Yes...they do match up. Except for the Firecrackers, these PGF teams wouldn't have gotten by either Southern Force that finished in the top 5 at ASA Nats IMO. They were brutal.

Yes, TNL had an AWESOME pitcher no doubt. I will also agree that you had the best Texas team and maybe the best in other ages but for 16U...It was ASA all the way but I will consider myself KILLED if you want.

That a good argument but are we really comparing a TC showcase to a national? I must say, that is a good comparison for PGF though. Any team at Colorado could have had anybody with them or had kids stay home. The same roster that was at Colorado probably wasn't the same at Nats. C'mon.

Look, I dont have an agenda either way with PGF or ASA. My DD's team elected to do ASA this year and not even attempt PGF. She Played Sneaky Cleats-Springer in Tennessee, and I saw some of those teams you listed, play. She has played some of the So Cal teams I high lighted and I see them almost on a weekly bases, being from So Cal. I am telling you, IMO, The teams from Tennessee that I saw and The ONE my DD played(Springer) simply CAN'T compare to those ones High Lighted from PGF, IMO. Period! But, that's exactly my point. That's my opinion and you have yours. The difference is I am not calling ASA 16U Nats this year an "Eastern Nats". But seeing the "So Cal" teams on a weekly bases and going to Chattanooga this past year, PGF definitely had the stronger teams, IMO. As good as the TNL team is that won ASA, I honestly think they might not of won PGF. DD is with a new Org. this year that has PGF in it's cross hairs, so I hopefully will have a follow up opinion next August as to first hand observations. Not just wild speculation and calling one or the other regional championships.

Sorry Skarp for the 5 foot paragraph, I didn't see a place for a break!

As you said, you have your opinion and I have mine. I have backed up my so called speculations and you have absolutely defined "speculation"... you are correct in not calling ASA Nats an Eastern Nats but before you come off as Mr. Perfect, I have to ask...Wasn't you the one asking for the best teams in Texas on another thread and now you are from Cali ? What's up with that? Trying to stir the pot a bit, maybe?
