Acknowledging that water is by far the best for hydration and especially for pre-hydration, there is still a need for electrolyte replacement during competition- especially in extreme hot weather.
The more popular brands(Gatorade, Powerade etc..) supply both hydration and electrolytes, but are also high in sugar. To make it worse they also contain artificial dyes, flavors as well as preservatives. Over the years (mostly by the efforts of my wife) I have searched for a natural or healthier alternative- there are many out there, but they taste like garbage. Has anyone found an all-natural sports drink that a teenage girl will actually drink?
