That was my point. Just thought it was funny that anyone could talk about the top young 14's without mentioning them.

Saw them play this weekend and didn't look quite as strong as the nations #5 team from last season?
Still early and maybe just couldn't hang with the National Champions from last season quite yet???
Looking forward to playing them soon though.

As with any team, turnover and injuries play a part especially when your talking about the #1 and catcher.

TOTALLY understand! We went into the last weekends I.E. tourney down a few key player's too, but managed to pull off the victory. Your depth on the roster plays a key roll in your success!!!

The Smash will survive just like all the other better 14U-98's teams in NorCal. They made a great showing last year and will do it again this year. The 14U-97's have a great bunch of teams from NorCal and will show well, to early to rate them.

I saw that the Smash had a great outing at the IE Tournament this past weekend... Just losing in the semis to Firecrackers....They will be very strong this year again. They beat some quality teams down south....

It does appear that smash lost one of it's three pitchers and I'm sure after the fall season they will pick up another one. Good pitchers are always looking for good teams to play with. The 14u team that does not seem to be talked about enough is the lady hustle. They have been very solid this season and deserve some credit!! They in my opinion are the team to beat right now.

Definitely credit is due. This team is strong. Haven't they have won most of the tourneys they have played in? Have not seen them play in a while but they always come up when discussing the strong 14u teams.

Grapes - V, Team California, Smash 98, and Sorcerer are a couple of the better 14U teams i've seen this fall....but then again I haven't seen all the 14U teams.

There are a lot of teams playing in the RR tourny this week. Saw a couple of good games. We will see who comes out on top. Lady Hustle is a strong team but now there are a couple of teams that are playing in the 16U we havent seen yet.
