I wish all the Texas teams the best of luck at Nationals this year. I will say that my favorites going into the tournament are the Kruzers, TPS, Velocity, and Kaos. Although, IMO, a big part will be determined on the draw and who has to face the California teams right off the bat.

Fireballs made a solid showing, they should be congratulated and should be on the final poll. The Texas teams remaining after Friday play at nationals are the 4 teams that received the most votes:

TPS
Travelers
Kruzers
RR Blaze

How they actually finish may or may not be relevant. They are among the final 12 teams at nationals and have represented Texas with passion and class.
[i]Wow, a "full ride" at Bugtustle State College to play softball. Let me know how that degree looks on the resume.

Voted for my top team TPS this morning and they pulled off the upset over OC Impact today. Wow! They were under the radar coming into the tourney.

Under the radar?
How about... listed on almost everyone's top 2 or 3 list?
What kind of radar you got there anyway?
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Kruzers...T-7th, 4-2, scored 31 allowed 6
Travelers...T-7th, 6-2, scored 56 allowed 8

RR Blaze...T-9th, 4-2, scored 34 allowed 16

Elite...T-25, 2-2, scored 9 allowed 21
SK Velocity...T-25?, 2-2, scored 18 allowed 12

I was proud to see how all the Texas teams pulled for each other. When they weren't playing, girls would sit in the stands and cheer for their fellow Texans. Parents were also supportive, sharing tents, chairs, water, and restaurant ideas with other teams. I hope this spirit of goodwill continues through the year into nationals 2009. Good luck to all in 14's.

Congrats to all the 12U Texas teams for doing well at Nationals. I will say that I don't see any certain team considered "BETTER THAN THE REST" based on a slightly higher placing at nationals. Everyone beat some high qualility teams at nationals but just faced them in a different part of the bracket.

Example:Travelers and Kruzers had to face California much earlier in the bracket drawing with Travelers having to battle back since day one and knocking out some quality teams. This was a tough draw for both teams.

Travelers, Kruzers, and TPS derserve top honors together and not just one team because by looking at the bracket, the games that were lost could have gone either way.

I am proud to hear that the Texas teams were rooting for each other and hopefully this will continue throughout the years to come.

Just the way I see it.

yep, I agree with someonecares. TPS, Kruzers and Travelers all showed well against the top competition in the country. they posted 1-run losses in final games that went scoreless until the late innings. there really isn't a big difference in their standings; an "elite 8" finish speaks highly to their abilities. they should be proud of their accomplishments.
