I must admit I am confused why are we judging this team based on their performance when they didnt have their regular players? My daughter is fairly new to the travel scene but dont all teams use pickup players in the fall due to schedule conflicts? Whether you call them "non starters" or "new additions" what difference does it make since they are not the normal girls that they play with. I say cut the pickups some slack and everyone just relaxe and have fun!!!

They were not talking about pickups. These were kids who are on the team who don't normally start. Basically they were saying those kids aren't good enough to win games which is why the team did not place.

And no, not all teams use pickups in the fall.

My, wowzers! Just on the wire did Glory Tolan's team blow up?! Friend said there was cursing all weekend at their tourney. From what I hear that's the norm on that staff. Is that what Adkins wants in his org? Parents accept that? I guess they expected to win the tourney and were sent home early? Is the team still together?

Tolan should not be allowed to coach. He does not have the mentality to be a mentor for the kids he is given responsibility for. Regardless of affiliation, it always goes bad with his teams.

That's a very good question. Unfortunately, Dan does not even know who Jeff Tolan is. He will not come on here and answer like he used to either because he is not even part of the organization any more. Maybe Jack will come on here and straighten things out. What happened with Tolan this weekend was inexcusable.
