Top 10 14u teams for 08/09

What would make you think that AF would be the in top of the 14U. I really believe that it is way to early to start making predictions. But I would expect the Kruzers to be one of the top teams. I am sure that most of the 94 teams, or at least the top 94 players will be moving on to 16U.

Alot will be determined in the next few weeks, as tryouts have started this weekend.

Well.....let's see. Mork took over in the spring when Sidwell had health and job issues. Mendez took over the younger 14U team and is returning for the fall(we lost an asst. who went back to school to play ball), The asst. from the mork team is returning, the 12U coach Darren Darraq, is moving to the mendez team as an asst. The 12U coach is coming from the Batbusters. When the year started in Jan. we had an 18U, 2-14U's, and a 12U in the organization. The one for health issues, one asst. back to school, and replacing a coach in-season. So 3 coaches over the span of four teams that has now expanded to 5 teams. With all teams having a minimum of 2 coaches....many with 3 or more. Wow....now I see your point the turnover is STUNNING. I bet we have the highest turnover around. Well there has been some turnover. Sidwell stepped down for personal reasons. Two of our assitants (Tiffany & Jennifer) are going back to school this fall, but will probably be back in the summer. And the other coaches have left because unlike other programs, we hold our coaches accountable to develop our players and to win, when it matters (qualifiers).

We owe it to the players in our program to continue to seek out the best coaches that we can find and that is one thing that will never change as long as I am a part of this program. Some people always try to find the negative, and while there have been changes we qualified 3 of our 4 teams to ASA Nationals in our first full year, and I would expect much more of the same to come in the future.

from one year a go 3 new head coachs you only have 4 teams

One word "accountability" - if more players and parents would hold their coaches accountable, the overall product of North Texas Softball would be better. Spin it however you want, but that is the reality.

Sad? What is so sad? The fact that we made changes that helped make our teams better instead of letting things spiral out of control and fall apart? All organizations go through changes especially when they are just getting started. But even those that have been around a long time experience changes. The difference with us is that we would rather change and help produce a better product instead of grow and have a hundred teams.

Who said we where a power house? We have made great strides in the last 18 months, doing a lot of things that many said could never be done, but the best is yet to come. I am very excited about the future, we'll have to see what happens.

I don't know who MHO is, but shut up & play, I don't see anyone from the fusion organization saying they are building the powerhouse organization. None of my posts or the ones from Fusion Gold have said anything like that. Now I do feel like I am operating at a slight disadvantage, seeing as how I DON'T Hide who I am or the team and organization my DD was playing for(hope to win a spot this year). You on the other hand, hide and for all I know, could be from an organization that bills themselves as a powerhouse and has a bigger turnover, or worse yet a powerhouse organization that protects coaches and throws the kids under the bus so to speak. Good for you, Slade!

Many organizations have no problem making the girls accountable for a whole host of things, many of which they have little control over, while giving the brain trust a free pass. I just went thru a debacle where a coach trashed a good team from a good program because the manager lacked the testosterone to hold him and his family accountable for their actions and flawed decision making. 10 girls had to go back out on the market to find new homes. Quality organizations need to keep their quality and run off those coaches who violate the team contract. The girls get run off all the time with less on the line.
