Tom Dodd's new team?

What's on your mind?

He "had a cup of coffee"... period. That phrase simply describes the amount of time spent in the Major Leagues. The fact is the Orioles felt he was enough of a prospect to give him a look at the big league level. It also means after that look they were no longer interested nor was any other team. All that being said it is still a tremendous accomplishment.

Good players don't necessarily make good coaches.

Very true. Magic Johnson and Ted Williams are great examples of all-time great players who failed miserably as a head coach and manager respectively.

Just to set the record straight, Tom Dodd never played major league baseball. Different guy you are all talking about. He wishes he was born in 1958 as the bio said. Lot older than that.

The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure.
These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur.

Nzane, the record for playing with Dodd is measured in months. Lets see how you do. I wish you all the luck.[/quote]

Have the OC players figured it out yet or are they still heading to SD?

Isn't Tom Dodd the father of Lisa Dodd from UCLA?

Bummer... I thought we were discussing a "somebody" but I guess it's much ado about "somebody's" dad...
