14U ASA Preview Invitational ???????

by fastpitchfever16 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:12 am

I dont get it, why is no one talking about what we should be talking about. The ASA Preview tournament is this weekend. This is a tournament that was born here on Hey Bucket. For those out there who remember several months ago we all asked for this tournament and thanks to ASA and particularly Dave Devine, he made it happen. It will have 24 of the best 14U teams in the state. So lets hear it. I would like to know who you guys think will place and which pool do you think is the toughest. Try to be honest to chest thumping and homer picking!!!

One thing we can all agree on is that this the tournament everyone was asking for to put up or shut up. Should be a great weekend of softball. I for one would say my DD's team will hopefully get a chance to play some of the best. More of a learning experience than anything. But I know I will be walking around to catch some of the other great matchups. Sudden impact & Katy Cruisers Gold Pool B...Single elimination on Sunday too hard to call.

it looks like the toughest pool is pool a especially for the thundersticks. they have adkins allen, sudden impact, 98 austin stix, and they also have to play FC. pool b is tough also. i dont know who the wichita mustangs are but i got to think they are pretty good if they are coming all this way for single elimination. them plus FC and katy kruizers makes for a stout group.

i think the pool winners will be sudden impact, katy kruizers, hawks, glory, austins finest, and storm.

no matter what this should be a fun weekend for everybody. its going to be tough to get a bye no matter who you are. this is whats its all about

Congratulations to SI and AF for surviving it to the ship, great showing! There were many hard fought battles and ITB games to get to there. This tournament pulled in a bunch of really good teams which makes for a lot of competitive games. Congrats out to the Hawks from STX for a great showing also. Thanks to all who worked to pull this one together. I hope the fields survived the recent storms and every up there is okay.

Texas Softball needs more of the same type of tournaments as the ASA Preview. There was Top Notch competition in all age groups. Way to go ASA reps.

If we want to compete in August, this is the only way (along with the "Rogue Friendlies") we raise the water mark in the NTX / CTX / STX softball communities.

Was a great tournament. I have to agree it was top notch competition in all age groups. Saw alot of 1-0 games, low scoring games and ITB games. Was a great tournament to play ball and just to go watch!!

Will any of the 14u teams listed above be at the PGF Texas Qualifier on June 1st?
Looks like only 2 teams are officially entered into this qualifier.
:?: :?: :?:
Are most of the 14u Texas teams playing ASA?
