TAKE THOSE BLINDERS OFF!

Mark...I mean phantomz08...i mean bigbaddude is right. The girls did nothing wrong and they are the ones losing out. I do not have a dog in this fight and I am not a big fan of IG ,but until proven otherwise, and whether anybody likes it or not, they are the top program in this area.I find it hard to believe that they are "afraid" to play ANY program, as mentioned in this thread or one of the other threads. (I'm starting to lose track)
I do not know if IG boycotted teams or not, but if they did, then that is wrong. If the coaches on the so-called "boycotted" teams did anything wrong, then someone should file a complaint and follow the proper channels. There is ALWAYS two (or more) sides to every story.

Probably as simple as IG can't get the best pitcher, short stop and two fastest kids in the city. In the past this would be no problem. Now we can create a committee and try to drive them that way. Note to all the IG mafia it's not happening. Your network is crumbling around you.

Sounds like someone needs to make a call to Arizona and talk to mister ASA himself!
If there is any merit to what is being said, and as a person from California and has absolutely no dog in the fight, believes it does, this has to be stopped now!!!!!!! The days of old mens suppression of girls are long since gone! Get out of the stone ages and fight for these girls rights to choose where they want to play! The committee should not only be ashamed of themselves but ran out of town! Peace out!

Ive read these forums for years and never felt the need to register and reply. Always just read. But these threads about this incident changed that. As an outside observer and someone with a kid playing travel ball in a younger division I want all involved to know how dissappointing this is to those of us that hope for a future in softball for our girls. This is sad what has happened to softball in Houston, at a time when the sport is making such huge strides. Reading all this garbage makes me really wonder if this is really even the path I want my daughter to take. There are obviously some very troubled men out there that are in positions they shouldnt be.

There are probably thousands of us with kids in 10's, 12's, and even 14's that are looking at this whole situation in awe. Do I really want to invest thousands of dollars into travel ball only for my daughter to get to the recruiting level and have her dream crushed by some strangers ego? Id rather pay cash for college than put her through that. I dont know why this situation happened, why it found its way to this forum, or why its gone on this long. But people need to realize just how much impact (negatively) it is having on the future of this sport that we all pour so much into.

I dont know anyone who posts on this thread(that I know of) and I dont know any of these coaches involved but I hope they are happy. All this drama is being talked about at the younger levels and the buzz is not a good one. Whatever y'alls intentions are and expectations just know that no matter how big and bad you think your organization is parents will do anything to protect their kids. I for one have only learned one thing from this thread, and that is which organizations to avoid when my daughter is of that age. And I can promise that sentiment is a growing one around the ball park in our age groups. I have no expectations from this post, just hope some of those involved stop and think about the damage they are doing to the sport of softball in the Houston area.

Thanks for your time.

This is all starting to get a little comical now. Hardly any facts being posted but a whole lot of opinions, probably by the same posters opening new accounts. So if teams really got booted then I'd bet those slots got filled, waiting list, and what a great opportunity for those kids who didn't have it prior. Just a thought since its always about the kids.

I would have been way better off going to Beaumont anyway as I have too many honeydos to do around here and I am tired. Tomorrow is my birthday, so everybody wish me Happy Birthday! :D :D :D 52 years young.

Happy Birthday. I wish you had the opportunity to stay out of the Beaumont rain, but the EGCC has spoken. Maybe next birthday they will let the freedom of an Open tournament stand.

On a lighter note, hope you dodge some of those honeydos and have yourself a great day. By the way, I still say your last name with a chinese accent. Heh, what good times.

Happy Birthday.

Going off topic! Has anybody heard about the new Firecrackers 12 field complex that is being built in Houston, and that is going to be probly the best place to play anywhere from what somebody was telling me! They said no other softball complex will be able to compare to this one?
