12U Teams

by linedrive_hitter » Fri Nov 14, 2008 6:00 pm

Well now hittinghard, you wouldn't be from that one team that keeps trying to recruit that certain pitcher from the Aces now would you? Or am I really icy cooold?

Seams like one team is being singled out for looking to expand their roster. What I see is a lot of the 12u teams looking - Ice, Kaos, Thunder, Riptide to name a few and the Peppers post from time to time along with several others. Does not have to be a negative reason. Does not mean the bottom half will be cut. From what I know the players and coaches are having a great time!

Could you imagine the impact that could have on a team and when those teams play it would make for a heck of a showdown!!!!

Sorry linedrive I am not a coach, I was just answering Warda's question. You get to hear a lot of things between innings at the ball park, that's why it started it off with "What I heard". My comment on the pitchers really applies to anyone that thinks their daughter is slipping due to being behind a stronger pitcher. This is the age for increasing your skill, not how many trophies you have.

Good luck to all.

Hittinghard, I agree with you about this is the age to work on skills and the fall is the time.

I do however disagree with your thoughts on a pitchers skills dropping due to playing behind a stronger so called #1 pitcher. As most teams have a #1 ace pitcher they depend on and a pitcher a step or two back as a #2. I would not say this to be true with the Aces. I don't think they have a #2 pitcher. They are both equally talented and do not play in each others shadows. One is strong in one way and one is strong in another way. Two strong pitchers on one team! A coaches dream. I would like to add, that I admire all these top teams coaches for the time they give to their players and I especially admire the Aces coaches as it looked to me that they were determined to make the curve ball work! It obviously wasn't. As we agree this is the time to work on skills. No one should fret over it. After all, Lisa F. (USA) did not become a seasoned pitcher until she was 15! These girls are 12. All of these opinions on all these post are interesting and I give my in good faith. Hope to have hot chocolate with you at the fields. I am sure we will here a lot more between innings! Good luck

It should be interesting to see where everyone will land come spring. It will also help to have some time off in Dec & Jan to let injuries heal. I think the order of the top teams will change once everyone is healthy!!!!!

Armed and Ready Results

Kaos96 and Bandits played up in the 14u division at SugarLand.
Kaos lost to both TLC and Pearland Pantomz and were done.

Bandits went undefeated while playing 2 excinting games against TLC. Scored 5 runs in the last inning to take the first and won championship game in the second inning of ITB.
They look like the are going to be a strong contender in the Spring if they can hold this
team together. The 1-2 pitching combo is as good as any right now!

superwin,

I heard that the Kaos and Bandits met up in a pool game in that tournament. How did that turn out?

What were the scores of your games against TLC?

Okay Warda,
I honestly can't wait, what does your top 10 look like this week?

Considering,

1. There were only 2 good 14U teams in Sugar Land, Kaos lost to them both and Bandits win the tourney. and Kaos has 95's playing down again!

2. Ice has lost several players, not sure if they even have a team.

3. Sting lost several players, maybe they will hook up with Ice and get back in the hunt ????

4. Peppers benefit from Sting losses, but how many pitchers do they have now? can they keep them all happy?

5. Rumors have it that Thunder lost their SS

6. Aces looking for half of a team
