Fresno Force Classic 2009

Hey Bucket List, I have to start building the schedule for the 2009 Force Classic. I am going to use the same format as last year unless I get feed back to change it to straight pool play with bracket play. We are changing some field locations, so if you want to complain or request changes to some fields, let me know. We have expanded the tournament a little this year, but it is filling up faster with more out of state teams, so get on the list quickly if you plan on playing. Go to www.fresnoforce.com for details and contacts.

Last thing, what should we do with the teams that drop out after we post the schedule in early April?

I personally like a 2 or 3 game pool play and then elimination. I like how Triple Crown does a 2 game pool play and Double elimination.

How about a heybucket booth selling tee shirts, hats and pins. I need to make some money to pay for this site.

This is our first time going and I hope we have fun and offer good competition.
I think 2 pool play and double elimination gives you more fun.

Numero Uno:

If you have an insurance rider for Clovis Unified School District, the Force will give you booth space. The 14U will be at Clovis East, the 12U will be at Buchanan and both 14U and 12U will be a Fresno Recreational Sports Complex. 10U will be at Clovis North. Were do you want your Booth?

This is something the Force can do to support Heybuck and the softball community.

Okay, I am hearing 2 pool play with a double eleminiation, what does the rest of the softball community want?

1) 3 Pool Play with Single elemination
2) 2 Pool Play with Double elemination
3) 4 Game Guarantee Elemination with Gold and Silver Brackets (Force Classic 2008)

I think ideally most everyone would like 3 pool games and then double elimination....However, not enough time!! Too many teams to fit more games in a long weekend....So, my vote is 2 pool games and double elimination....
