I just received a new catalogue from Direct Sports and they carry the Tanel "Rev-D" cleats. How does your DD like Tanels and how have they held up?

She likes them...which is why I drive all over hell and back to find them. She wears the RPM Lite Low Cut.

She gets about a full year out of them, but the cleats are pretty worn by then (i.e., now). Two per year is probably the right way to go.

Can't speak to the Rev-D.

Skarp ... I see they advertise " No Cleat Pressure " ... was this a problem with your DD ? .. One of mine has had that issue and ended up the last 2 years in a "turf" type shoe ... anything with a cleat on the bottom hurt her arches ... although it hasn't been an issue for her I've worried about her footing in wet grass or hard infields in the turf shoe ... if you agree there is less cleat impact maybe we'll take a ride over to Direct Sports and check them out ...

She says cleat pressure isn't an issue at all with the Tanels. But I think for her it's mostly about fit. She wears the mens' RPM and thinks they are very comfortable. Width is the main issue--womens' cleats tend to be too narrow for her. Eventually I would like to find some place that carries most or all of the top brands to see if we can find something else she likes.

The width thing may be good for my Flintstone footed family ... wonder if Dick's has them ... probably not ... my DD in Maine works at Dick's and gets 25% ... the kids have Monday off ... maybe we'll take a road trip to Direct Sports and check them out .. It's only 2 hours away ...

The only places I'm aware of are up in Thousand Oaks and Santa Clarita, and it's hit or miss w/r/t what they have in stock.

I am 99% sure that Dick's does NOT carry Tanel merchandice. Tanel and Ringer seem to be pretty picky about who handles their brand. And they probably wouldn't allow a vendor of thier's to honor discounts. They are probably like Under Armour, Nike, etc. who demand that a condition of carrying thier brand is no price deviations.
