12U Teams

I was wrapped up in the he said she said, who is the best, who thinks they are the best, who is leaving who, who is joining who, who won this tourney or that tourney. All I can say is now that both DD's are playing 16U and gold. There are only a few tournaments that mean anything and the girls are playing to be seen. Playing well in front of the right coach at the right time is what its all about. Seeing them get their first email or letter from a college coach who saw them play and wants to talk with them. Going to college visits. Being invited to a camp has replace all the petty crap I thought really ment something. I would love to be there the first time your DD plays in a showcase where the score, the line up and the close calls don't really matter. I wonder how many of you will still be sitting in the stands keeping your books on the game and complaining about the draw. I think is funny when I here people say this team got any easy draw and that team got a tough draw at a 12U tournament. When your DD gets older you'll gripe because all the top teams are playing each other at the main field and yall had to play a scrub team that no coach cared about. Trust me your mind set will change and you will look back at what an idiot you were. I wish ya'll the best and may even stop by the Bomber tournament for a few laughs at the parents in the stands.

Thanks for the insight slapper. Now shut the HE!! up!

Winning was important for you at 12's, and its important to us at 12's. And I am sure being seen will be important to us when our DD's get to 16/18 levels. and guess what, when we are at that level I bet the 10's and 12's still care about winning. Hum, see any kind of pattern.

smack, parents like you are also a trend. Trying to live out your dreams through your daughter. Bragging at work on Moday's about how good your girl is. Bitching in the stands. Being an ass on messaged boards (back then all we had was Eteamz). Spending most of your time trying to figure out what the team around the corner is doing. Sitting at the fields on Sunday trying to come up with excuses for not winning and who you are going to blame.

Yes you are correct it is a trend that will never stop. There are even a few at the older levels and they like you are often laughed at.

Have a great day and I will wait on your response because I know you cant let it go :o

Slapper, I agree with smack. Go spend your time starting a 16u/18u discussion. Talk about wasting time???? What the heck do you care about 12u.

Anyway, back to 12u land. Any news on how the tournaments went this weekend and who jumped ship to other teams?

Asmack, I have to agree with you for once. Slapper it may be time for you to get a life and stay out of ours. If we want to live our lives through our DD's than that is our bussiness. It sounds like maybe your DD's have left you behind and now you feel like you have to get into our bussiness. So why don't you SHUT UP and move on to 16u and leave us 12u teams alone?

Cool new avitar Asmack and congrats on fist place this past weekend.
