I timed a community 14U B travel team last year and and a range of 3.1 to 4.5. 4 of the 11 girls were able to get in the 3.1 to 3.3 range. I then made them repeat the drill from the left hand box and only 2 improved times, some girls got slower because they were awkward in their mechanics of getting out of the box from that side.
The two that improved times went from 3.1 to 3.0 and 3.2 to 3.1. IMO it's still better to leave a bunter in the right hand box if that is where they are comfortable. It's easy to lay down a 0.1 second better bunt from the side your comfortable on. Drag bunting is another story, but not every girl is willing to put in the time to learn that skill (although they should be)
