Who's over rated? 12U is nothing without the hype

Let's hear it!

1. What's the latest? OK Nemesis Vs Texas at the Bomber
2. Who stole who? No one... Every team has 6 to 10 players whether they need them or not :o
3. Who folded? See previous answer
4. Who's about to fold? Ditto of answer 2 and 3
5. Who's over rated? Texas Teams (see answer number 1)

Unless I miss my guess, you represent the OK Nemesis

That's pretty big talk from you Okie-boy!

The only thing I've heard about Oklahoma is

-The boys from Oklahoma roll their joints all wrong...Too skinny and long
-There are only two things from Oklahoma, steers and queers. Do you sport horns?

lol... I'm a Texan and I LOVE me some Texas.

Here's my thing, what if Texas teams that had 6, 7 and 8 super atheletes combined to make two teams. And Short Stops found out that they could play multiple positions. And every player sat out an inning or two during a tournament (sometimes learning from other players while on the bench), And kids worked harder because they were pushed by their teammates(and didn't need to be a standout on a bad team), and Texas Teams were actually favored in Texas Tournaments. :?

Maybe it is just a dream, but I believe!!! :D :geek: :ugeek:

People are funny, heck, I am laughing at myself wondering what responses will come from this post.

Good Luck to everyone at the Bomber this weekend!

The Bandits smoked the Nemesis 11-0 and beat the Bombers 2-0. They are my pick for best team in the Houston area and one of the top teams in the state.
Definately going to be some good teams coming out of SE Tx. The Fury lost to the Nemesis 2-1 and the Sting lost to Bombers 3-2. The RedHots beat Austins finest on Sunday and tied the Nemesis on Saturday.

To quote the late great Paul Harvey "The Rest Of The Story" everyone knows that the Bandits beat the 96 Bombers 2-0 for the championship but earlier that morning the bandits were losing to the 97 Bombers 1-0 through 5 1/2 innings. They came back and had two MONSTER hits to take the game 2-1 but now you know '' The Rest of the Story".

Sounds like speculation since they were not in New Bransfels.

Bandits, Peppers, Thunder, and Aces are all Very Good teams that could win any given tournament, on any given weekend.

I'm right here...thanks for asking. What is your point? If it is to gloat about the Bandits winning the Bomber then please do so, you have every right. In fact, I would be shocked and disappointed if you didn't. That is my point. You called me a dipsh*t, but I'm not sure why. Is it because I, along with 95% of the other posters on this board, picked Nemesis to win the tournament? I invite you to go back and read my post. The whole premise behind my post was that the Houston teams are so consumed with beating their chests and out-talking the next guy or bad-mouthing the other guy. That is why i said I expected you guys to come on here and start bragging about winning the Bomber tournament. A very good tournament with a large field at the very beginning of the season. But winning one tournament does not make you state champs or the best team in the state. To meet that criteria, you have to sustain excellence against the very best. I will also go on record as saying whoever wins the HOF Qualifier in May is not necessarily the best team in the state. They are simply the best team that particular weekend.

In my posts I stated that the Lady Longhorns and Kruzers were over-hyped going into this tournament. Based on all accounts from this past weekend, i would say that was a fairly accurate observation. Additionally, I believe I nailed the 14U prediction by stating BB Montoya would not claim the hardware and that CRAZY 8's would.

Again, congratulations to the Bandits on a well-deserved victory. I cant wait to read all of the post about it. But to finish my original point in my original post, I just dont believe you would see some of the better D/FW teams on here bragging about the Bomber. One, they know this tournament doessnt mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things (1st tournament of the season for many teams so still shaking the rust off); two, they know that it didn't have all of the very best teams from all across Tx; and finally three, they dont feel the need to get on HB and vindicate their team by posting all over HB. If you want to act like TO Owens that is your right, however the rest of us will act like we been there before and winning a tournament is just another day at the office.

And just for the record, I dont even have a horse in this race. We have moved on to 14U/16U. Frankly, it is boring in this group. Enjoy the 10U/12U madness. And truth be told we are not considered a strong team in the area so what the hell do i know about winning. Probably as much as my DD's lame ass coach. it's all his fault anyway for our lack of success
Damnit ......., get your head in the game!
