I wanted to add one final comment on this, there are no hard or bad feelings between the Angels or Rebels teams in terms of parents or coaches. We have several good friends on the Rebels as do many of our parents and I'm sure the Rebels staff and parents feel the same way. We all have to look at the situation as one between two parents who got out of hand and one who took things to another level entirely.

Also, the parent in question does not drink and was not drunk. At all team parties, getogethers or anywhere, doesn't even have one beer - he never has a drink and was not drinking yesterday, at least not during the 4 hours at HBSC he was there.

Taunting teams, parents and coaches; profanity, rude, crude gestures and violence have no place in youth sports and the Corona Angels do not encourage or condone this type of behavior from anyone associated with our team.

You can be assured that our coach will do whatever he needs to do to protect the players on our team and others from this ever happening again; it is a shame that a very nice little girl and extremely talented softball player may pay a big price for something that she has nothing to do with. Ultimately, it's the kids who are hurt by the adults bad behavior and who are the real victims in all of this.. Very very sad.

Parents let your kids play the game and have fun and quit ruining it for them. Parents need to stayed positive and quit crying about playing time and where their kid hits and where they play.
If the parents stay positive the kids stay positive and the team gets better, bottom line.

The tourney was great and a few idiots should not ruin it for everyone else.
I vote ZERO tolerance on these issues.

ASA may need to give a class on class:)

My hats off to you #1.....Bottom line the 12-u suffered another Black Eye.......Fresno just doesn't sound that exciting right about now...

The parent who started yelling Aimees name I can only surmise was in response to all the Rebel parents screaming their REBELS chant when they rallied in the 2nd inning - I assume it was to show the same respect to the coach that trying to confuse and intimidate with the team chant is meant to do to the opposite team. No other Angels parents were out of control, they were trying to difuse the situation between the two parents. Aimee's boyfriend did approach the Angels side of the stands first when the parent started yelling "sucks" after Rebels parents were screaming/chanting AIMEE after the game and yelling back "Sucks What?" and then it got really ugly.

Bad behavior on both people and no excuse at all for this unfortunate occurance at ANY type of sports event, let alone 12U girls softball.

I'm glad you responsed, I guess you never seen fans cheer for their team when a team comes from behind???? Saying Rebels is not the same as picking on a particular individual. Did the Rebels yell Coach Kennnnnny name in the middle of game??? NO! He could have said Angels right??? No he said her name so that's personal period!!! Oh by the way they do have spell checking on here I think you should use it next time, also her name is Amie not Amiee . You have a nice day now.

Actually, I have many times seen and heard fans cheer for their team. The Rebels chant is annoying, loud and meant to distract the opposing team and it is successful. I was just guessing on why he started yelling her name, it was rude and personal against her, you are correct and IMO uncalled for. Spell check? Who really cares how she spells her name, seriously? Besides spell check shows AMY.

Again, there was no altercation between the coaches during the game other than what was posted before, Aimie objecting to Kenny saying something to his batters regarding hittable pitches and complaint to the umpire that he was talking to her. The two parents big blowout happened AFTER the game while the teams where shaking hands.

Our 12U team has played both teams and been beaten by both...

With that being said, we haven't had any personal issues with either one of their teams which are both HIGH QUALITY and TALENTED teams and coaching! I think people ge offended by the Rebels because they let it bother them. I haven't seen it be negative ever so I think it is just a tool they use to motivate their team....And it works!!

I think that both teams made some terrible decisions yesterday and it got WAAAY out of hand. I have heard all the rumors about the Rebels on this board but haven't seen it for myself so I would rather not make a comment on it. I do know that when we've played them they have been respectful. That goes for the Angels too!

I just think that both sides let that situation evolve and both are at fault......The sad part is that the girls had to see it!

I have posted on this subject already a couple of times and it is unfortunate that I still think that the parents of the Rebels don't understand that this sport is for their daughters to play and not for them to live through their daughters.

Everytime my daughters team has had the Rebels on the ropes they become obnxious and try to intimidate the opposing team with there chants and yelling Rebels to the girls when they come off the field (opposing team).

If this is what they have to do to win a close game for their team, I don't consider it a true win in my book. Distraction, Intimidation and being obnxious has nothing to do with Talent, Ability and Perserverance.

And one more thing! Is there any consequences for these teams actions like suspensions from tournaments or anything? Or is this behavior going to be able to just be blown off until it happens again (which it will until there are sanctions).
