I was there the whole time by the snack bar and never heard “White Girls”. In fact I want to say the majority of parents on Corona Angels look Hispanic/Latinos.

I think people are beginning to make up stories.

I saw that crazy psycho running so fast some of the Rebel Girls began to cry out of fear. There were small children standing there. The crowd didn’t know what to expect, I saw him lay hands on 2 females (women beater). I don’t think the Rebels intentions were to hurt psycho, but to restrain him down until helped arrived.

Corona Angels,
You need to get rid of this guy! He is crazy and your whole team saw him lay hands on women. How can you allow this to happen?

This is irrelevant to what occurred yesterday: A Rebel cheer shouldn’t affect the way a team performs! So get a life!!!!!

Everytime my daughters team has had the Rebels on the ropes they become obnxious and try to intimidate the opposing team with there chants and yelling Rebels to the girls when they come off the field (opposing team).

If this is what they have to do to win a close game for their team, I don't consider it a true win in my book. Distraction, Intimidation and being obnxious has nothing to do with Talent, Ability and Perserverance.

As far as the comments at the Snack Bar, I can assure you they were made!

With that being said, we haven't had any personal issues with either one of their teams which are both HIGH QUALITY and TALENTED teams and coaching! I think people ge offended by the Rebels because they let it bother them. I haven't seen it be negative ever so I think it is just a tool they use to motivate their team....And it works!!

I think that both teams made some terrible decisions yesterday and it got WAAAY out of hand. I have heard all the rumors about the Rebels on this board but haven't seen it for myself so I would rather not make a comment on it. I do know that when we've played them they have been respectful. That goes for the Angels too!

I just think that both sides let that situation evolve and both are at fault......The sad part is that the girls had to see it!

That's just it though, other than the yelling of her name a few times in one inning, there was nothing else going on. He wasn't ranting and raving during the game, just sitting in his chair, quiet. When he did start yelling sucks after the game in response to the Rebels parent(s)chanting Aimie, it escalated in just seconds it seemed when the boyfriend walked over and boom, it was this huge deal, Angels parents holding him back, etc. Then it was over, parents packing up their stuff and walking out. There was no warning of what happened next, no way for anyone on the team to know or even think about it. This parent has never shown anything other than a rather laid back personality, like I said before it was surreal. Kind of hard to control a parent who does something completely out of character, taking everyone off guard and by surprise.

As far as the issue of talking coaches, complaints on the field - that wasn't a big deal, at least it didn't get people in our dugout or stands fired up, nobody even cared about it. All we heard was Aimie telling the umpire to have our coach stop talking to her or she would pull her team.

If someone ran swinging into the women on our team, I would still be beating him when the cops showed up. Vigilante justice is way underrated these days.

That said, "did you see the little white girls crying" is pathetic and inexcusable. G...H...E...T...T...O!!

What...your going to lash him with your Rockports and Polo jacket.

And one more thing! Is there any consequences for these teams actions like suspensions from tournaments or anything? Or is this behavior going to be able to just be blown off until it happens again (which it will until there are sanctions).

I believe that ASA should investigate the entire situation, especially if the two parents involved have associations with ASA/other teams on a coaching or assistant level, etc. ASA has a responsibility to revoke their ASA cards and put limitations on their involvement with youth sports. Sanctioning a team/coaches for actions of ONE parent IMO is extreme, especially with no other issues past or present with any coaches or other parents. Why should an entire team of innocent kids and quality coaches suffer from the actions of one parent?

If it were my team, the parent that ran a long distance to attack someone, their child woul dbe removed from the team on the spot. Unfortunate for the young lady, but in this sport, the players and parents are a package deal. I would not want that parent anywhere near my team.

The local association could possibly pass something banning this parent from entering any fields where a sanctioned tournament is being held.

This is how the hockey dad incident happened a few years back. It needs to be kept out of fastpitch softball. If some severe steps need to be taken, that is what needs to be done. We can not sit back and let stuff like this effect a sport that we all love so much.

Don't you people ever make redneck jokes about Texans........

EVER.

But in all seriousness, after the legal crap is done, there is a way to co-exist that doesn't kill the kids future. If coach is gonna keep the player's dad, there has to be a warning, suspension from set amount of games/tournaments, and a public apology.

That kid could possibly be tagged with this throughout her TB career, and that's not fair to her. She didn't get to choose her parents, but dad would be on a razored, choker leash for sure.

The longer this is discussed the bigger it gets. WHY?? Are you not part of instigating this?

To all you nosey people, if you were not directly involved then SHUT UP ALREADY!!!! I’m pretty sure that both these parents are wonderful persons and are regretting what transpired on the field.

As parents/coaches, it is ALL our responsibilities to make this an environment so that each girl can grow and prosper. Whether it was the incident with the group of parents against the one parent, or the incident at the snack bar by mothers referring to “Crying little white Girls” we all have a responsibility to stop it in its tracks.

Leave these parents alone and let the coaches resolve this matter together or separately. Remember the girls love this sport and I’m pretty sure that both thier daughters are suffering in there own right about it. Don’t take that away from them too.

See you all in States…

Iluvblue,

Well said! I agree on you comment. I believe everyone who witness this incident can testify, doesn’t matter if you’re on The Rebels or Corona Angels.

Let’s be honest…I believe Kenny and his coaching staff owe all the Rebel Girls a huge apology. These girls witness the whole thing happened. Corona Angels were too far to see, although I’m sure they were afraid as well.
