I guess after all the blogging and all the non-taking responsibility by the Rebels I would like to know bottom line who would like their daughters to play, or turn out like AM SOFTBALL "Aime".

You need to really think of how you want your daughter to be and at what cost are you willing to help make it happen. Is softball worth compromising your daughters values and self-confidence?

If so join their team.

If not keep fighting to make your daughter the best PERSON she can be in WHATEVER path she takes (softball or not). And hopefully she will be the person that in the end will make you proud to say,

"Boy thats my daughter and I'm so proud of her for doing what was always right even when it was tough or not the most popular decision amoung her friends (taking the high road)."

To RAISE better children we need to RAISE our standards and RAISE our voices against what is wrong.

Dammit, I've been Rik Rolled twice in 1 night and Arto wasn't the culprit. :x This one needs to go away before #1 has to delete it do to "too much space taken".

Anyone have any thoughts on the 10U division?

How much more can we digress tomorrow? We have quit watching T.V. and are glued to "Bucket" for the next volley of drivel that spews out from the Rebel and Angel parents posts.

Skarp- you are 100% right, it is about the girls and all parties invloved should be mortified by their behavior, no matter who is right and who is wrong.

People make mistakes all of the time and we need to grow from it and not continually relive it post after post.

Individuals who don't learn from their mistakes and/or actions will eventually be kicked in the nuts by karma. :ugeek:

I just read the whole thread and now I need a lawyer for falling off my chair laughing so hard. Can I sue heybucket or just all the Poster's collectively. What posters drive BMWs ? Maybe Spazdad will fall out of his chair when I say TNL should be in the top 5 and has a good shot at winning states !

Posted on another website:

Self Defence Softball Lessons 3/30/2009
We are now offering Self Defense classes for 12u softball parents

Due to the recent problems on the softball field, we decided to open our own self defense program to you! Our instructors are some of the best:

4 gang members that just graduated from Folsom State (not the University)
4 active shooters from "Save Our State"
3 Bouncers from the best TJ Cantina

also we are having a sale:
The new book How to be a softball parent for dummies (teaches you how to enjoy the game regarding what the score is or what the other team says)

Ear plugs (to ignore annoying chants and bad words from the other crew)

Budwiser Pills (you don't have to pretend that are you drinking coffee at 2:00pm in 86 degrees weather or walking to the park with the classic red or blue cup)

Bullet proof vest (because this is just the beggining and its going to get worse)

we can go to your place during your DD's team practice.
we reserve the right to refuse service to coaches and umpires.

we guarantee you that you are going to be ready for Fresno Classic and States!

This is one of the few times I am glad to be unemployed since I could watch this thing all day yesterday. :)

For self defense? Hmmmm So why don't you answer, what would you have done in that situation? If you defended yourself from psycho dad, would you think you should be banned?

For starters I'd bring a taser to the next Rebels/Angels game. Your parents will always take your side weather they like your on the field antics or not cuz you make the line-up. End the chant...let the girls decide the game on the field. Kick both teams out of next years surf city classics...lesson learned.

LOL, You didn't answer...I figured that though bcause you would be forced to say YOU'D DEFEND YOURSELF and your wife.

It is wrong to punish anyone defending theirselves and I am glad the constitution and the courts uphold SELF DEFENSE. Good thing you didn't write the constitution or everyone would just be banned and in jail, regardless of the situation.

End the chant? LOL You have NO IDEA. We will NEVER end cheering for our own team and I have been doing that cheer since I played in college. Good thing all those college teams didn't fall apart, claim it affected their play and cry about it.

I am going to encourage it even more since everyone gets so upset because that i really trivia to get upset about...a cheer. LOL This is really hialrious. 22 pages and all this has come to is you all hate our chant and the only reason we win is because of it. WOW

OK i have been reading this BS and have to put my 2 cents in. all i am going to to comment on is the chant. Aimee i agree with you about cheering your team on. there is nothing wrong with cheering( i.e. Go girls you can do it, work hard ladies, etc.) but chanting you chant which came from your college UNLV Rebels. where a bunch of adults are cheering is different. when you are 12 yrs old and you hear a stand full of adults chanting that loud intimidating chant at them. it can be scary. it is inappropriate. and not to mention it does not show good sportsmanship. why is it you only do it when you are losing??? hmmm maybe because it is the only way to throw your 12 yr old opponent of their game. it is pretty sad when 30-40 yr old adults have to team up on 12 yr old kids. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEAD. THIS IS NOT YOUR COLLEGE ANYMORE YOU ARE NOT AT UNLV. YOU are at the ball field with children not adults.

We haven't heard from Scorkep--a generally good-natured Rebel parent--about the whole chant thing. What say you Bob? Proud of your coach and parents?

Aimie, here is a thought, why not TRY and clean up your act/team? Take the higher/better road to improve you're already tarnished image? Maybe you like the rep of being "ghetto"? And of all people, you played the game yourself, you would think that you would want to better things for the kids, make positive changes for everybody

Perhaps he has really followed the advice given to him by his lawyer, unlike his head coach. Sounds like this Rebel team needs to stop acting likes its a pro team with paying fans who think they have the right to do whatever they want or say anything they want. Let these 11-12 year old girls just play and relax a little bit.
