Ok ..I am still lost here...You are disgusted because they do a CHEER for their own team??
(The Rebel cheer and they are the Rebels?)
Do they spit on the other team? Do they do that stupid cheer, I see a pitcher that wants to be like me, when they are getting their butts kicked? Do they insult the other team? Make fun of the players on another team? Say Peanut butter-Jelly over and over? (That one annoys me so I guess anyone who does that is not only Rec. ball but disgusting..)
Maybe I am just used to it because I attend a lot of UNLV functions but it seems like a very small thing to get so heated about and insult a bunch of people who are just cheering for their own team..
So maybe we should start a list of banned cheers.
Ones that annoy us and make us so disgusted that we will post condemning a whole group of volunteers and parents.

I'LL START:
Peanut Butter-Jelly
I see a player trying to be like me..
U-G-L-Y You don't got an alibi

So if you do these cheers, you are disgusting, vilified human beings who should be taken out and staked to home plate while being stoned by softballs.
Because they annoy us..
And if you are on a team that does any of those cheers, then you are the scum of the earth, your kids are the scum of the earth, and you all should be treated like the lepers of softball society you all are.

Jeez...

I think that if it was the KIDS doing the cheer and not the BIG KIDS, it wouldn't be such a problem. Heck, if it was at the older age groups I don't see it being a problem. I think that the point some of the board is trying to get across is that this is little girls having a hard enough time trying to keep their composure and play a game that they currently enjoy. Don't take it away from them with adults taunting them.

The bottom line is sometimes people make mistakes. We are all quick to say look at someone else like we have never done anything we regreted the next day. I am not saying that anyone is right or wrong and dont agree with racial remarks at anytime but not all people come from the same backround or upbringing. In my organization I have many kids that come from a tough situation and with those kids come there parents and sometimes they make mistakes that are not excepted or appropriate. But you cant say it is the whole organization or the coaches unless it continues. I welcome these kids so that they can see that the White girls brown girls rich girls and poor girls all go through the same things and can have the same oppurtunities hopefully breaking cylcles so that behavior like that is not continued through the kids. Isnt that why we are here. I'm sure that all involved are not proud and if someone is I hope that the Angel and or Rebel organization will stay with the kid so that maybe that young lady might stay around others that dont think its ok. Ive known amie as a coach for quite a while never really talked to her as she may not like me hahaa but shes been around a long time and i dont know of anything like this from any of her teams before. sounds to me like you both have to really good teams at 12u and I look forward to playing you both soon...

I think you made our point. Any ADULT who does that cheer out loud in public directed at kids is disgusting scum of the earth who should be treated like a leper and stoned by softballs (or is it softballed by softballs?) at home plate.

LOL We haven't had a team that could intimidate a rabbit (Since maybe 1990's basketball-90's softball) much less an opposing team. Remember we do that cheer at our football games and we've won like 3 games in the last 10 years. We do it to show support, have fun, and entertain ourselves while the other team is running up and down the field.

Haha. Did you notice I called it the Sharktank and not the T&M? Gives you a clue to how old I am. My wife even had a class with Larry "Grandmama" Johnson (not that he showed up very often  ). In college or the "pros" it's cool for the fans to be the "6th" or "12th" man (depending on the sport) to try and help your team in any way. But we're talking about 11, 12, and even some 10 year old girls here. Cheer your team on as much and as loud as you can. Build them up positively, not by intimidating or tearing down the other team. (Sorry, getting preachy again). And in all of the UNLV softball games I've gone to in the past five years, not once have I heard the Rebel chant. Lots of cheering, yes, but no chant. (but it is college and not 12 year old girls, so I wouldn't have a problem with it anyways)

Skarp, Skarp, Skarp. I've always told you son to be careful who you hang with. Now you have a couple little groupies swinging from your little jock strap. Don't be guilty by association, just because you have a golden mouthpiece. If I didn't know you from taking you to all those chess tournaments, I might mistake you for being a prick.

Call those Skarpberries.

The trash just don't want to admit that they like intimidating 11 and 12 year old girls. That is why they do the chant. In their poor judgment, they justify the chant because it is used at college games, with 18 to 20 something year old adults involved. Are you trying to relive your long past glory years?

They also know that it pisses off the 11 and 12 year’s parents and brings out unreasonable violence in some. As their leader said, they will keep doing it, even more now that they know it causes problems.

CA apologized publically for the terrible actions of their parent, cleaning house and removing the cancer. This is a typical reaction of a class organization.

The other team does not have enough class or respect for anyone else to look at how their actions have contributed to this, let alone apologize for helping escalate this.

Go ahead a taunt the little girls.
